Coronation Street stars who have been replaced – from Tracy Barlow to Todd Grimshaw

Coronation Street has featured a whole host of characters whose actors have been recast throughout the decades.

While some stars are replaced when characters return to the show, others have been replaced due to actors quitting the show.

Fans were recently left gobsmacked when David Platt’s stepson Max Turner appeared back on their television screens.

It’s not the first time and it probably won’t be the last time that bosses switch up the cast with fresh faces.

Daily Star has taken a look back at some of the Weatherfield residents who were replaced over the years from evil Tracy Barlow to sweet Summer Spellman.
