Holby City viewers horrified as Jac Naylor 'killed off' in brutal shooting

Holby City ‘s Jac Naylor is set to make her show exit as Rosie Marcel has confirmed she’s leaving the soap after 15 years.

The storyline surrounding her departure was yet to be confirmed, but tonight’s episode saw Jac seemingly ‘shot’ in dramatic scenes.

Kian’s former drug dealer Sarah Jane was admitted to the Darwin ward, leaving the character and his colleague Jac in the firing line.

At the end of the episode, viewers saw a character sneak into the hospital with a gun.

Kian, Jac and Chloe were by Sarah Jane’s bedside when the man walked in.

He grabbed the gun from his pocket and threatened the doctors as they attempted to take Sarah Jane to surgery.

The villain first pointed the gun at Kian, and then to Chloe.

He finally pointed it at Jac, who walked closer to him and asked him if the weapon was even real.

The camera then cut to Nicky who was walking down one of the hospital corridors.

A loud gunshot was heard, leaving Nicky terrified.

Fans went into meltdown over the huge cliffhanger as the BBC programme didn’t show who was shot.

They took to Twitter to share their thoughts at the potential death, as one said: “IM SURE HE JUST SHOT JAC”.

While another wrote: “OMG, not Jac???”

A third added: “S*** it’s Jac! I’m certain of it. The angle of that gun but maybe she does survive and goes to start that new job.”

Fans ‘worked out’ that Naylor would get shot as they heard a series of scary remarks which seemed to foreshadow the gun horror.

Jac made a series of remarks which seemed to foreshadow her death, and fans watching were quick to point out the scary references.

In one scene, the phrase ‘famous last words’ was heard, while another saw the words ‘get you both the bullet’ uttered.

Viewers also noticed bullets were mentioned throughout the episode, leaving fans certain Jac could get shot once again.

They went into meltdown on Twitter, as one wrote: “OK STOP WITH ALL THE FORESHADOWING. JAC’S GOING TO DIE, WE GET IT”.

While another penned: “Too much foreshadowing around Jac in this episode I’ve got a bad feeling.”

“‘Famous last words’ no Jac”, added a third.

Another remarked: “can they stop with the bullet referencing please”.

Holby City airs Tuesdays at 7.50pm on BBC One.
