I'm A Celebrity fans left fuming as ITV show delayed in major schedule change

ITV viewers were left fuming when they found out I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! was delayed due to a World Cup football game.

The jungle reality show was due to air at 9:15pm on Monday night (November 21) rather than its usual start time on 9pm, but fans were in for more disappointment.

That’s because the episode ended up being pushed back following the World Cup match which saw Wales draw 1-1 with the USA in Qatar.

The group stage match ran over after nine minutes of stoppage time, following England’s victory over Iran earlier that day, which itself featured a whopping 24 minutes of injury time.

It meant I’m A Celeb didn’t air until around 9:20 – up to five minutes after it was due to start – so it was 20 minutes late in total.

Fans weren’t happy as they wanted their latest fix of jungle action, so they took to Twitter to complain whilst they waited.

One fan complained: “please just show me ant and dec i do not care about football”

A second asked: “WHO CARES ABOUT FOOTBALL”, whilst another agreed: “Oh my christ I don’t care about this football chat show me folk greetin over beasties”

Another said: “I don’t care about this football sh***….. I want to know who George is moaning about now”

A fifth added: “Do we really need replays of football, hurry up”

Monday’s episode saw Hollyoaks star Owen Warner bag a whopping nine stars for camp in the Boiler Room trial.

It was a far better job than Radio X host Chris Moyles, who only managed one star in the trial last week.

The DJ was left close to tears and lost it at host Declan Donnely, shouting at the Geordie during the underwater trial.

I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! airs every night on ITV.
