I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! star Babatúndé Aléshé said he shared a special bond with Matt Hancock and explained the sweet reason why.
Presenters Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary welcomed the comedian onto the show who was live from Australia to chat about his stint in the jungle.
Speaking about the close bonds formed in camp, the 34-year-old admitted he was surprised at how well he got on with the politician and admitted they bonded over fatherhood.

“Matt Hancock surprised me, he definitely surprised me! The way we bonded after a while was definitely surprising but we bonded over the fact that we are both fathers.”

He added: “Obviously I’m married and he’s coming out of a really hard relationship but we bonded over fatherhood so that was the thing that we often talked about.”
“It was really really good,” he quipped.
Shortly after the politician arrived in camp, the Celebrity Gogglebox star was one of the first people to directly address his infamous kiss scandal with now girlfriend Gina Coladangelo which occurred in the midst of the Covid pandemic.

He left the MP red-faced however when he later said he’d been “grabbing booty” on camera after the images were released.
At the time, Babatúndé cheekily said: “You didn’t just ‘fell in love’ you were grabbing booty bruv!”
The comment went down brilliantly with fans and also with Alison as she couldn’t resist bringing up the hilarious moment during the interview.

She laughed: “You’re the only person who could turn to Matt Hancock and say, ‘You were grabbing booty!’ I mean, who does that?”
The comedian was visibly mortified upon hearing the comment back as he almost fell from his seat and covered his face with his hand, letting out a huge laugh in the process.
“Listen, I felt so bad,” exclaimed the star before Alison chimed: “You were right though, he was grabbing some serious booty!”
