Celebrity Hunted viewers were left fuming after the premiere was derailed by a huge Channel 4 technical blunder.

The first episode of the new series kicked off tonight (March 28) at 9pm, with many excited to see the drama unfold.

10 famous faces go fugitive in the real-life thriller for Stand Up To Cancer, where they must survive 14 days on the run from an elite team of hunters.

But fuming viewers took to social media to blast Channel 4 bosses as the app failed to stream to show due to technical difficulties.

“Been looking forward to #CelebrityHunted but the All4 app isn’t working for Channel 4,” said one fan.

Another echoed: “Trying to watch #CelebrityHunted live using the app and channel 4 isn’t there ! , Just E4 , More 4 , Film 4 and 4/7 … Anyone got the same issue ?” to which someone replied: “Ours is the same! Gutted was looking forward to watching it.”

It went on further, with many more fans having the same trouble.

“@Channel4 why is the app not working??? I want to watch #CelebrityHunted but on my NOW and my Fire stick, every time I try and watch it, I get kicked out of the app.”

Another fan blasted: “Can anybody explain why I am unable to watch #CelebrityHunted on

Celebrity Hunted is back for its fifth season on the network as the famous faces become fugitives while a crack team of surveillance experts try to hunt them down.

Over the years, we’ve seen the likes of Ollie Locke from Made in Chelsea, Sky presenter Kay Burley, The Wanted’s Siva Kaneswaran, and sprinter Iwan Thomas take part.

This year’s competition promises an equally impressive lineup, with celebrities from all types of fields attempting to evade the Hunters for Stand Up to Cancer.

Among them are Off Menu podcast’s Ed Gamble and James Acaster, Strictly Come Dancing’s Katya Jones, and Starstruck’s Nikesh Patel.

Social media and Strictly Come Dancing star Saffron Barker and TV Mathematician Bobby Seagull will also take part, as well as Broadcaster and Coronation Street actress Nicola Thorp.
