Love Island Olivia's relationship status confirmed amid Maxwell split rumours

Love Island stars Olivia Hawkins and Maxwell Samuda are “still together” despite theories that they’ve already broken up, a source has confirmed.

Liv and Maxwell met in the villa on this year’s winter series of the ITV2 dating show in South Africa, but they’ve faced mounting rumours that they’ve split up like many of the other couples on the show.

It comes after other couples on the series such as Zara and Jordan and Casey and Rosie announced they’d broken up shortly after leaving the villa.

And Liv and Maxwell sparked split speculation last week when he jetted off on holiday to Mexico without her.

But a source close to the couple has now revealed that Liv and Maxwell are still a couple and that Maxwell had booked his flights to Mexico before even landing his spot in the villa.

A source told Daily Star: “Liv and Maxwell are still together but he is just on holiday at the second. He booked the trip before he even got Love Island.”

Olivia also spoke to Daily Star’s Sam Huntley at the Anthony Joshua vs Jermaine Franklin launch party in London’s Battersea on Monday (March 27).

The brunette beauty revealed she’s ruling out more reality TV shows for now and plans to return to acting, but she also has her eyes set on a career in presenting.

Asked whether she’s eyeing up any other reality TV shows after Love Island, she said: “Definitely my first thought isn’t going straight back into reality TV.

“I want to just live my life, see friends and family and do normal things and go back into acting which is what I love, so we’ll see. Never say never.”

Liv admitted she didn’t see herself doing any more ring-girl jobs at the minute, adding: “I’d love to do presenting, maybe boxing presenting. I’d love to stay in the boxing world, but I don’t know whether ring-girling is for me right now.”

Liv slammed split rumours earlier this month and has just confirmed that she’s still going strong with Maxwell during a chat with OK! magazine.

She said: “Things between me and Maxwell are really good. We spent pretty much the majority of time together after leaving the villa, before I went to spend time with family.”
