Strictly's Shirley Ballas 'sad' as son shares huge life announcement on stage

Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas has admitted she’s “sad” after her son Mark revealed he is retiring from the US show Dancing with the Stars.

Professional dancer Mark has starred on the US version of Strictly since 2007 and won the show three times, but he told fans it was now the right time for him to walk away.

He announced he was leaving the show during the Dancing with the Stars Live tour show in Las Vegas’ Pearl Concert Theatre at Palms Casino Resort over the weekend.

Shirley then took to Instagram with a sweet snap of her and Mark smiling together – and heaped praise on his achievements in the caption.
