Brigitte Bardot’s cause of death revealed as husband shares sex symbol’s final words


The cause of death for international sex symbol Brigitte Bardot has been disclosed by her heartbroken husband ahead of the star’s funeral.

The urgently admitted to hospital who underwent two significant surgeries in the weeks leading up to her passing at 91 last month, was battling cancer, according to her spouse of three decades, Bernard d’Ormale.

Speaking to Paris Match magazine, Bernard revealed that Brigitte had bravely endured the operations “very well” after beingshared his wife’sin late November. He also shared his wife’s poignant final words, stating: “They were the most moving moment of my life with Brigitte, because she was leaving us.

“She said ‘pew pew’. I was half asleep, I sat up and saw that she had stopped breathing. I saw her suffering disappear in the next fifteen minutes – she became magnificent.”

Her funeral is scheduled to take place later today in a private service in Saint-Tropez.

A public tribute will also be held at the French Riviera resort where Brigitte resided for over fifty years, honouring the cinematic icon.

Hundreds of mourners have already gathered on the streets of St Tropez to pay their respects to the late actress.

In the years preceding her death, Brigitte expressed her wish to be laid to rest amongst her numerous pets, including a goat, donkey, and pony.

However, she will be interred at the Marine Cemetery in St Tropez, near the grave of her first husband, director Roger Vadim, who passed away in 2000, aged 72.

Brigitte has faced several cancer scares, having been diagnosed with breast cancer in 1984. She opted against chemotherapy, choosing radiation treatment instead, and went into remission in 1986.

In addition to this, she battled severe arthritis, which frequently necessitated the use of walking sticks.
