Coronation Street will see one villain brutally killed on Friday (May 1), and now Megan Walsh’s actress Beth Nixon has dropped a huge hint that her character is in serious danger
Coronation Street’s Beth Nixon has hinted that her character Megan Walsh could be the murder victim on tomorrow night’s episode.
By the end of this week, one of five villains will be revealed dead on the soap with Betsy Swain discovering their lifeless body. Fans have been sharing their theories as to who the victim is aheda of the reveal on Friday (May 1).
Beth plays child groomer Megan on the ITV soap and has now teased that Megan or Theo Silverton could be “done for”. She told the Mirror: “Megan and Theo are up there as the worst villains. The others can be redeemed but me and Theo are done for aren’t we…”
This could suggest that both of them will die, as opposed to just one of the villains. Theo Silverton, Megan Walsh, Maggie Driscoll, Jodie Ramsey and Carl Webster are the five potential victims being teased to fans.
She also told the publication that her character has to go as there’s no chance for redemption. She explained: “I’d love it if Megan died a dramatic death.
“She would proper milk it as well wouldn’t she. But I think the best course of justice for her and what she’s done is to be punished. I love to see the viewers theories about what they want.
“I have seen a lot of people say she needs to go to prison and they don’t want her to be the victim as they want the prison exit.”
Beth also teased the dramatic death will be something fans will “love”. She reckons fans will be jumping at the TV and ‘screaming’ when they watch it.
The actress has also revealed that Megan is “so fun” to play as the character is so different to how she is in real life. She said that, unlike her, the villain simply “doesn’t care”.
Coronation Street airs weeknights at 8:30pm on ITV1 and ITV X.
