Coronation Street’s Jodie Ramsey is one of the Weatherfield residents at risk of being killed this week in the ITV soap, and fans have had their say ahead of the explosive reveal
Coronation Street fans think they have rumbled who confronted Jodie Ramsey, one of the Weatherfield residents at risk of being killed this week.
By the end of this week, one of five villains will be revealed dead on the soap with Betsy Swain discovering their lifeless body, following her mum Lisa Swain’s wedding day to Carla Connor. Fans have been sharing their theories as to who the victim is.
As the episode returned to the present day, Corrie viewers have been seeing how the behaviour of the five characters could lead to their possible death, with Theo Silverton, Megan Walsh, Maggie Driscoll, Jodie Ramsey and Carl Webster seen as the potential victims, each showing behaviours that could lead to a grisly fate.
While the murder actually took place last Thursday, April 23, this week, Corrie has been revisiting the same day, but each episode is seen from the perspective of a different potential victim. At the end of the week, Betsy will find one of them dead, and the hunt for the killer will begin.
It was Jodie’s episode on Wednesday (April 29), and she has been intriguing viewers ever since her debut during Corrie’s epic crossover with Emmerdale, dubbed Corriedale, which aired in January and featured a horror multi-vehicle pile-up.
Jodie was seen tied up in a van driven by Emmerdale returnee Graham Foster. While they weren’t directly involved in the crash, Jodie made an escape bid and ended up in the hospital, where she came across Shona Platt, later to be revealed as her long-lost sister.
There was concern for Shona as Jodie could hear her outside No.8, claiming she hadn’t heard of who they were looking for and that they were mistaken. However, Jodie stepped out of the house and revealed her identity. The two men demanded the return of the hard drive, and Jodie eventually relented.
After previously telling Jodie she needed to leave for her safety, Shona had a change of heart and told her sister she could stay. But when Shona went out, Jodie was seen making a shocking discovery.
She found the letter she had written to her older sister as a youngster, which Shona claimed to have never received. Jodie then listened to a voicemail message that David had left, which confirmed to her that Shona had deliberately ignored her cries for help.
Out for revenge, she messaged David and climbed into his and Shona’s bed, waiting for him to return home. David returned home from the wedding reception and drunkenly stumbled into the bedroom.
He climbed over the bed and began to kiss Jodie, believing her to be his wife. He didn’t expect it to be Jodie, and they came face-to-face.
David was horrified and quickly stopped anything from going any further, but a rejected Jodie tried to use the situation to her advantage. David’s sister Sarah Platt heard the commotion and, went to see what was going on, and Jodie claimed that David had tried it on with her.
Eventually, the pair kicked her out and David said Shona would want nothing to do with her when he tells her what happened. Soon after, Jodie was down at the precinct when she was approached and pleaded to be left alone, and Corrie fans have shared who they think could be confronting her.
One asked: “Is Jodie about to reveal her #Emmerdale connection to Graham? #Corrie.” Another said: “What a twist if it was Graham that Jodie was talking too. I would genuinely fall off my seat. #Corrie.”
A third wrote: “Imagine if it’s Graham. [eyes emojis] #Corrie #CoronationStreet.” A fourth added: “Anyone else thinking we will get a Graham appearance in Corrie on Friday? #Corrie #Emmerdale.”
