The Bear’s final feast – all we know about season 5 on Disney+

• The Bear is serving up its final course as the hit FX series concludes with season five dropping this Friday 26 June on Disney+.
• The critically acclaimed show follows temperamental chef Carmen ‘Carmy’ Berzatto, played by Jeremy Allen White, who’s been trying to transform his Chicago restaurant after his brother’s tragic death. With help from unpredictable cousin Richie, played by Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and driven sous-chef Sydney, played by Ayo Edebiri, the restaurant began successfully but received mixed reviews from critics.
• Season 5 picks up after Carmy’s shocking decision to quit the food industry and hand over his share to Sydney, Richie, and sister Natalie ‘Sugar’, played by Abby Elliott. The remaining team are now desperately trying to earn that coveted Michelin star.
• All eight episodes will drop simultaneously at 8am UK time on Friday morning. According to the official synopsis: “It all boils down to this” as the team faces “no money, the threat of a sale and a torrential storm” in their quest for perfection.
• The final season includes appearances from Oliver Platt, Will Poulter and Jamie Lee Curtis. Throughout its run, The Bear has already featured celebrity cameos from John Cena, Brie Larson, John Mulaney and Bob Odenkirk.
• Fans can already get a taste of what’s to come with a surprise hour-long flashback episode titled ‘Gary’ featuring Richie and Jon Bernthal as Carmy’s late brother Mikey. As the synopsis teases: “Ultimately, they learn that what makes a restaurant ‘perfect’ might not be the food, but the people.”
