EXCLUSIVE: ITV host and Love Island alum Olivia Attwood has been surrounded by support from her famous pals as she continues to deal with the aftermath of her public breakup
Olivia Attwood’s famous pals are throwing support her once more after she continues to deal with heartbreak in her personal life.
Two stars from ITV2’s Bad Boyfriends have revealed they have been throwing support behind presenter Olivia Attwood since her breakup with her husband Bradley Dack. Anthony Joyce and Dillon North, who made history as the first gay couple to appear on the reality series, opened up about Olivia’s off-camera kindness and what she was really like to work with while filming the show.
Th filming took place while Olivia was privately dealing with difficulties in her marriage to footballer Bradley, with the couple later announcing their separation. Despite her own personal struggles, they said the TV star remained professional and supportive throughout production.
Dillon told us during a screen of Bridget Jones in London earlier this month: “Honestly, we love Olivia. She’s an amazing woman.”
They insisted she was warm and generous behind the scenes, and even got to meet her ex Bradley, who made cameos on the show. Speaking about Bradley, Dillon said: “I didn’t get to meet him on the show, but after the show I did and he did seem alright.
“Their relationship is their relationship, so I can’t comment on that, but I think they’re great people.”
Anthony also revealed he has reached out to Olivia since news of her split, saying: “I’ve messaged Liv a couple of times. Obviously, she’s quite a busy woman anyway, so she’s hard to get hold of, but we’re telling her that we’re here for her.”
The reality star then lifted the lid on Olivia’s supposed “favourites” among the cast and admitted it caused some tension at the show’s premiere.
Anthony laughed: “She said in front of the whole cast, and they were not impressed. ‘It’s no secret, the boys were the first gay couple on the show. They’re my favourites. We all know that.’”
As for whether she wanted them to win, Anthony believes Olivia and producers were rooting for them. He said: “I think production and Olivia wanted us to win. However, it was still our decision in the end.”
Since leaving the show, Anthony and Dillon say their relationship has gone from strength to strength and they have now moved in together.
Anthony explained: “Going on the show definitely helped us. Don’t get me wrong, we still argue like cats and dogs, but that’s any relationship. All the problems we went on the show for are definitely much better.”
“We’re very, very happy now. We have our own beautiful home now.”
He joked Dillon has even mastered household chores since the show, adding: “He knows how to use the washing machine now. He’s learned how to cook a few things. We’re getting there.”
