Katie Price has undergone corrective lip surgery to remove scar tissue caused by migrated lip filler, and is said to have shocked the cast and crew of The Princess Diaries with her appearance on set
Katie Price is reported to have arrived bloodied and battered to filming of The Princess Diaries. The former glamour model, 48, who shares Junior, 21, and Princess, 18, with ex-husband Peter Andre, recently underwent corrective lip surgery after travelling to Brussels to remove scar tissue from her lips, caused by migrated lip filler.
She shared the immediate aftermath with followers and is now said to have left cast and crew “shocked” by her appearance when she turned up to help film the latest series of her daughter’s ITV2 show. Katie remained off-camera during the first episode but takes centre stage in forthcoming instalments.
Nevertheless, her condition as filming commenced is reported to have left the crew stunned. A source revealed: “The cast and crew were horrified…. Princess is used to her mum’s antics but a lot of people were really shocked.”
Speaking to The Sun, the source continued: “It seemed like an attention-grabbing move to make people talk about her – like she can’t bear to be out of the spotlight for one moment.”
A representative for Katie responded: “Kate has been enjoying filming and has built a really positive relationship with the crew. She remains focused on her work and commitments.”
During an episode of her podcast, The Katie Price Show, she revealed to her sister, Sophie, that she wouldn’t be under anaesthetic for the procedure. “I’m doing it awake, not on anaesthetic… going to Brussels because it needs doing,” she explained.
And now, Katie has unveiled the outcome of the operation just days after displaying a bruised and puffy pout, reports the Mirror.
Following the completion of the procedure, the former I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! contestant also shared a selfie of herself resting in bed with her lips protruding after a lip lift correction treatment and assured her followers that she would ” trust the process” moving forward.
Addressing her fans through Instagram, she stated: “Hey guys, yes, before you start, I know what I look like. Yesterday, I was in Brussels and I had all the scar tissue taken out of my lips so they’re really swollen at the moment,” before continuing to discuss her CBD gummies once more, emphasising she “wouldn’t come on here looking like this” unless she genuinely believed in them and that it wasn’t promotional content.
However, shortly afterwards, Katie attended the official premiere of her Sky Original documentary, Katie Price: Nothing to Hide, in London, where her lips appeared significantly less inflamed than they had initially post-surgery, with her scar clearly visible just beneath her nose. Despite the scorching heat, Katie chose a figure-hugging, backless black frock that displayed her collection of tattoos adorning her back.
She finished off her ensemble with a pair of black platform heels, while her trademark jet-black tresses were styled into loose, natural waves.
Just prior to her public outing, Katie also hinted at undergoing further cosmetic surgery by having an operation on her nose. After sharing the results of her lip procedure with fans, she noticed that her nose wasn’t quite as she desired.
In one video, she exclaimed: “Oh my God, my nose still looks wonky, but I’m going to have a nose job.”
In another clip, she playfully mimicked her lips “quacking” to the camera, while her daughter Princess looked on and commented: “Her lips, don’t approve.”
Katie didn’t appear overly bothered by the significant swelling and bruising, stating: “It is what it is trust the process. I’m still going to eat a burger, though. Have put some makeup on it to cover the bruises up. But quack, quack.”
