Comedian and actor Kevin Hart has received numerous accolades for his work and was one named one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time magazine.
The 47-year-old Netflix star, from Philadelphia, became a household name in comedy following the release of his first stand-up album I’m a Grown Little Man.
As an actor, he has starred in big hits like Ride Along and the Jumanji film franchise, but fans are keen to know more about his life away from the cameras.
The star, who has an older brother, was raised by his mother in a single-parent household as during his childhood, he had a turbulent relationship with his father.

What is Kevin Hart’s height?
Kevin Hart admitted during a lie detector interview for Vanity Fair that he was 5ft 2inches tall, after previously claiming he was 5ft 4.
He also confessed he was self-conscious about his height, though he openly jokes about it in his stand-up routines.
In an interview with Anderson Cooper on 60 Minutes, he said: “It’s talking about the things you aren’t afraid to laugh about yourself.
“The laugh that I’m getting, you are not necessarily laughing at me…I’m giving you an experience through a story that is relatable.”
Who are Kevin Hart’s wives?
In 2003, Hart married actress and film producer Torrei Skipper, who had been the comedian’s college sweetheart.
They were married for seven years before filing for divorce in 2010 after citing irreconcilable differences.
“When I met him, he was selling sneakers,” Torrei told Inside Edition. “He starts to get fame and I’m feeling, okay, well, a little left behind. We grew apart.”
They had two children together – a daughter born in 2005 and a son born in 2007.
In August 2014, Hart became engaged to Eniko Parrish after proposing at her 30th birthday party. In an Instagram video capturing the moment, he said: “On this perfect day I chose to make the most perfect decision,” before getting down on one knee.
They were married near Santa Barbara, California, in 2016 and had their first child the following year in 2017.
A month later, Hart openly admitted to cheating on his wife, who was pregnant at the time.
Appearing on New York’s Power 105.1 radio show, he said: “I’m guilty, regardless of how it happened and what was involved.
“That’s Kevin Hart in his dumbest moment. That’s not the finest hour of my life. With that being said, you make your bed, you lay in it.”
The couple reconciled and had a second child together, a daughter born in September 2020.
Kevin Hart’s other interests
Away from acting, Hart has been an avid poker player for more than a decade and has entered major tournaments.
He once opened four vegan restaurants under the Hart House brand, in an attempt to compete with fast food chains by offering appealing plant-based alternatives.
However, all of the restaurants closed in September 2024, though the reason for the closures was not publicly announced.
He told The Hollywood Reporter at the start of his venture: “If I can give people a place to have the option that’s placed smack dab in the middle of where your McDonald’s, Chick-fil-A, and Burger King [are], people may see a Hart House and say, ‘I’m going to go plant-based today.”
