Kim Kardashian’s ex Ray J has been taken for urgent medical care.
The singer, who infamously starred in an explicit video with Kim Kardashian, has allegedly been rushed to hospital in Las Vegas after being struck down with a ‘severe’ bout of pneumonia and troubling chest pains. The One Wish crooner, who dated Kim between 2003 and 2006, is said to be receiving medical care whilst awaiting X-ray results and an echocardiogram, according to a source who spoke to TMZ.
Despite widespread reports about the 44 year old’s concerning health scare, the R&B artist’s Instagram feed remained silent, instead promoting his upcoming birthday bash scheduled for later this month.
A flashy poster uploaded to Ray J’s social media account advertises the celebration, set to run from 5pm to 10pm on Sunday January 18 in Austin, Texas. The caption declared: “1/18/26 ……. AUSTIN TX …. IT’s #STRIPPERBOWL SEASON ….. MY BDAY WEEKEND GOING UP… #RayJ #Music #Tronix #Tron,” reports the Mirror.

Worried supporters flooded the comments section with messages of concern after news broke of Ray J’s hospitalisation, as one fan wrote: “Ray….rest. Go to your momma house and chill”. Another supporter chimed in: “And he still posting his bday party, what a legend! get better dog!”
A third follower begged: “Ray J I hope you’re okay, I need you to make sure you get rest” accompanied by a series of red heart emojis.

This latest health emergency marks four years since the performer was diagnosed with non-Covid pneumonia back in 2021. During his previous hospital admission, Ray J was placed in a Covid-19 ward after medics suspected he might have contracted the virus, an experience he later described as absolutely terrifying.
After undergoing a series of five Covid tests, he was transferred out of the wing He speculated that his “busy schedule and constant travel” had put his health in jeopardy.

Ray J feared for his life but luckily, after spending over a week in hospital, he was discharged. The singer still required oxygen and an inhaler to aid his breathing.
Recalling the harrowing experience, Ray J previously told TMZ: “I thought it was over. I started praying and knew God is good so I just kept praying.”
