Love Island viewers are going mad after spotting that Aidan Murphy has quietly smashed a Season 13 record.

The 23-year-old estate agent was among this summer’s original line-up, though his journey hasn’t been plain sailing. Aidan first paired up with fan darling Ellie Chadwick, before switching to bombshell Yasmin Hadlow.

His younger sibling, Kavan, then entered the villa in a shocking twist and began pursuing a romance with Ellie. Before long, Aidan had experienced his second villa breakup from Yasmin and coupled with fresh arrival Namibia Rosa.

The ITV personality went on to pair with Tina Rad, Priya Jaswal and Casa Amor contestant Martha Rothwell. In the latest recoupling ceremony, he was chosen by recent entrant Elicia Bailey.

With the ITV finale mere days away, viewers have spotted that Aidan has shattered the record for most pairings by a single Islander this series, reports OK!.

He has coupled with seven different ladies, meaning he’s formed a fresh partnership nearly every week since stepping into the villa.

Last series it was Conor Phillips who claimed the record after linking up with nine different contestants, including his current partner Megan Forte-Clarke.

ITV posted a cheeky graphic while Conor remained in the villa, showing that Helena Ford came second with merely six couples.

This series, Priya sits in second spot with five pairings.

An ITV viewer posted a video montage of Aidan’s recouplings on TikTok, quipping: “Convinced Aidan is attempting to break the record for most couples.”

The brief video has garnered over 118,000 likes, with fans flocking to the comments section to ponder how Aidan has managed to remain in the villa without being part of a stable couple.

One wrote: “How’s he actually lasted this long,” with another viewer concurring: “Genuinely don’t understand how he’s still there.”

Meanwhile, some viewers had entirely forgotten about some of his former villa partners. “Omg forgot about him and mibs [Namibia],” one remarked.

Another agreed: “Lowkey forgot him and Namibia were a thing.”
