Britpop titans Oasis are slated to return next year after their triumphant comeback tour, with an epic run of dates across the UK that includes two separate residencies
Oasis are reportedly embarking on another huge tour next year – which would see them play an incredible 12-night residency at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester.
But it’s understood that’s not the only residency Britpop brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher are targeting after their hugely successful comeback tour in 2025. We previously shared reports of the band’s rumoured 2027 tour, but now it’s said the band are hosting a record-breaking six concerts at Knebworth.
An insider told The Sun: “Oasis’ schedule is booked. It’s 12 nights at the Etihad in June over six weeks. They will then play Knebworth six times over a three-week period in September. Dates could be added but for now that’s the master plan.”
A source added: “Noel and Liam always planned for the tour to have a second run. There were discussions about announcing [it] during the World Cup because of the connection between Wonderwall and the Three Lions in this tournament.”
The source added that they had settled on August. The Etihad is close to Noel and Liam’s heart, given it’s the home of their beloved Manchester City.
Oasis played two iconic concerts at Knebworth back in 1996, and Liam went on to perform two solo shows there in 2022. If the band play six dates at Knebworth next year, it will be the most times an act has done so.
An insider previously told Manchester Evening News of the reported tour: “It will be 12 nights at the Etihad Stadium across May and June. It’s just massive for Manchester and for the local economy.
“They could even add more dates to that as well, there’s talk of up to 20. The wider tour is also going to include a return to Knebworth.”
Liam previously hinted that Oasis would be active in 2027, writing on X: “e’re not doing anything in 2026 sorry. “I don’t [have] snizzle to do until 2027, I mean happy Christmas”, and “Bring on 2027… I mean 2026.”
When asked back in 2025 that the tour was ending soon, he replied: “I’m not actually, as I know things you don’t know.”
The band’s hit Wonderwall has become England’s unoffical anthem during the World Cup, with players belting out the track with fans after their games. Noel himself has supported this.
