Katie Price has been left ‘absolutely shaken’ after her husband Lee Andrews claimed to have ‘adopted’ her five children — a boast Peter Andre’s team has slammed as ‘categorically untrue’
Peter Andre remained tight-lipped following Lee Andrews’ outlandish claim that he had ‘adopted’ his wife’s five children, an assertion that has reportedly left Katie Price “absolutely shaken”.
Despite never having met them in person, self-proclaimed millionaire Lee – who is now flogging Cameo videos – told one fan in a personalised clip that they had taken the monumental step, revealing that he and Katie have plans to start their own family as they attempt to conceive.
He said: “I haven’t got children, but we’re trying. I’ve adopted five of them. I love my wife and I love her children.” Lee made the declaration despite having only ever communicated with Katie’s brood via FaceTime. In another video he said: “Obviously, five beautiful children that I get to call my own now. Handful.”
Peter Andre’s representatives issued a scathing response following Lee’s assertion. Peter shares Princess and Junior Andre with Katie and in a statement his team insisted that nothing could be further from the truth, reports the Mirror.
They rubbished Lee’s recent comments and branded them as “categorically untrue” and “yet another lie” from the self-proclaimed millionaire, who was recently freed from prison. Setting the record straight even further regarding Princess and Junior, the singer’s spokesperson added to Metro: “They haven’t even met him!” Peter himself took to Instagram to seemingly address the issue, hinting that the response was not his doing.
He penned: “When you get told you responded to something that you didn’t respond to and only found out that you allegedly responded by reading out it is quite something. Ah well, at least it’s summer.”
Closer reported that Katie was left “genuinely shaken” by Lee’s allegations about her children. “Katie has been left genuinely shaken after realising some of the things Lee has been saying don’t quite add up, especially around the claims about meeting the kid,” a source revealed, “It’s made her stop and reassess everything, and for the first time she’s starting to see through what she now feels has been a lot of smoke and mirrors.
“There’s a sense of relief from those around Katie that certain inconsistencies are coming to light, in the hope it acts as a bit of a wake-up call.
“At the same time, it’s knocked her confidence massively, because she’s now questioning who and what she can actually believe. Katie is feeling very vulnerable and doesn’t know who to trust, which has led her to pull back from almost everyone.”
This isn’t the first time his comments about her children have raised eyebrows – he previously claimed that he had met some of her brood, believed to be her three oldest kids, Princess, Junior and Harvey.
Her agent later refuted this, and it subsequently came to light that he had only communicated with them via FaceTime, not face-to-face. She also revealed she had no intention of introducing him to her children until she had become more acquainted with him.
Katie left fans gobsmacked when she declared her marriage to Lee following a jaunt to Dubai in January – mere days after their first meeting.
Their romance raised eyebrows among her close ones, who questioned his motives after he hadn’t joined her in the UK – it was later disclosed that he was subject to a travel ban, and couldn’t leave the UAE.
Several months post their nuptials, she admitted: “For me to introduce him to the kids, I won’t be introducing him to the kids yet, because I want to get to know him more myself.”
