Peter Crouch has drawn a “line” with his wife, Abbey Clancy, after she made a rude demand when he suggested that you’ve “got to be trysexual”, a term that means someone is willing to try anything once sexually. It came during a hilarious exchange between Abbey and Peter, sparked by a message from a fan who wrote in with a saucy marital dilemma involving a “pundit”, namely his wife.
“My wife suggested completely out of the blue on a Sunday that we should watch something together”, Peter read. It wasn’t a box set she wanted to watch, though; it was actually something far more X-rated.
They continued the story: “Now, I’m no prude. I’m a grown man, but what I was not prepared for was the critical commentary because my wife, it turns out, watches this sort of thing the way my dad watches the football.”
It seems his wife would be “fully engaged” and express “loud opinions” during the show. And, at one juncture, she apparently even paused the action to set out what she would’ve done “differently”, like a “pundit at halftime”.
They ended the message by asking Peter and Abbey if an attempt to “spice things up” had ever “taken a hard left into pure comedy” for them. Abbey quickly joked that she was a “prude” and had no comment.
Peter responded on the couple’s Therapy Crouch podcast: “That halftime analysis is phenomenal. The halftime analysis, paused it and analysing it.” Abbey added: “That’s not for me. If you want to do that, do it in your own time.”
He went on: “I think you’ve got to be trysexual. Yeah, try anything once.” Abbey replied: “Okay, if you want to try everything, then bend over”, and they erupted into laughter.
Peter added: “There is a line”, but Abbey wasn’t having it. “That’s just the point. Cos, you know, men would be like, ‘Oh, you should be trysexual. Try everything’, but you wouldn’t.”
He replied: “Well, yeah, you’re allowed to have boundaries. No, I don’t think try everything. Certain things I don’t wanna try. And I’m sure you’re the same, you know, most things, but I wouldn’t rule things out.
“I think conversations should happen. You go like, ‘You know, what about this?'” Abbey replied: “What about f**k off?”, as Peter again burst into laughter.
In other news, Peter recently admitted he and Abbey “can bicker” during a playful back-and-forth about long-distance relationships in a separate instalment of the podcast.
Abbey joked: “No, it doesn’t (work). We’re actually getting divorced. It’s our last pod, guys. So, farewell.” Peter went on to suggest that the topic was “very apt”, quipping that it sounded like she’d written the message.
She replied: “I haven’t wrote it. I haven’t got as much interest to write that now. I don’t care. So, I wouldn’t write that now.”
Abbey explained that this type of set-up simply doesn’t “work” for her. Peter pointed out: “I’ll tell you why it doesn’t work for us. It’s because we love each other and we spend a lot of time together, and we have fun together.
“So, where we are apart – I resonate with this – I resonate with the fact that yeah, the little arguments and that; we can bicker. But with regards to long-distance relationships, I totally get it.”
