Actor Emma Corrin quite literally ruffled feathers with their feather-heavy display at Paris Fashion Week.
The 30-year-old Crown star is famed for playing young Princess Diana in the Netflix hit, but they were worlds away from Buckingham Palace in their bold bird-themed look that featured multi-coloured feathers and an elaborate neckpiece.
They appeared to go topless in the outfit, created by Italian fashion house Schiaparelli which is famed for its bold, theatrical creations. Emma’s top also had sculpted black bird beaks poking out of their chest.
They opted for black bottoms and oozed confidence as they posed for pictures at the Schiaparelli Haute Couture Fall/Winter show. The non-binary star is known for sporting eye-catching outfits.
Emma recently admitted it was “so scary” playing the late Princess of Wales in The Crown. They told Parade: “I loved her. I loved playing her. I don’t think roles like that come along often.
“I’ve had parts since that I’ve been so fond of, but there was something about that, and about her, that just — it felt different and it feels different.”
The actor also commented on how the timing of season 4 of the Netflix show’s release – November 2020 – took the pressure off of them when it came to promoting the series. This was because it came out during the middle of the Covid pandemic, when lockdown restrictions were in place.
The continued: “I was really protected by that. I would have probably been on a circus of a press tour, when actually I was just in my living room on Zoom. Kind of tragic, kind of nice. It’s made me overwhelmed by press since then.
Emma is set to appear in Pride and Prejudice alongside the likes of their Crown co-star Olivia Colman. Emma plays lead Elizabeth Bennet, who falls in love with Fitzwilliam Darcy (Jack Lowden).
