As the plot twists continue in the latest series of The Traitors, a banished contestant suspects that another secret connection could be unveiled
The Traitors star Judy Wilson says there could be a secret father-and-son pair among the players. In a series already brimming with unexpected turns, a secret traitor has been exposed, and two pairs have confirmed their connections.
The latest surprise in The Traitors unfolded when Ellie Buckley disclosed that Ross Garshong, the most recent contestant to be voted off, is actually her boyfriend. This bombshell followed weeks of viewer speculation that the duo already knew each other before the show’s filming.
Internet sleuths had previously unearthed an Instagram photo featuring Ellie and Ross together in a group, while some also discovered that Ross had interacted with two of her LinkedIn posts, which have since been removed.
Suspicion also mounted around Ross when Netty Österberg was the first to be ‘killed off’ after the pair had informed players that they had met before.
In conversation with The Metro, Judy, the first player to be voted off the show, said she had no suspicion about the couple’s relationship.
“Ellie is quite quiet and if you saw the bit when we’re in the kitchen, that’s the first time I actually spoke to her, but she’s quite quiet, whereas Ross is very out there and quite bubbly, so I didn’t connect that at all,” she admitted.
Instead, Judy said she and other players suspect the existence of a secret father-and-son duo.
“I think there could be more secret connections,” she shared with the publication.
“There was a lot of speculation when I was in there about Faraaz [Noor] and Maz [Bana] – are they son and dad? We kept thinking that.”
Numerous viewers also share the same theory, with one writing on the platform X: “Is it just me or do Faraaz and Maz have an IDENTICAL side profile? ! Father and Son? ! #TheTraitors #TheTraitorsUK.”
Another viewer observed: “I think the next family tree is definitely Maz and Faraaz. They give off that hot dad, hot son vibe. And their names both end in ‘az’ #TheTraitors.”
A third fan remarked: “Just catching up on Traitors! Wowzer. Maz and Faraaz must be related surely? look at their facial features, same shape, nose, cheekbones, even same calm demeanour, everything except the eyes. Throwing my mad theory in! #TraitorsUK #Traitors #Traitors2026.”
Judy also joined the programme as part of a secret partnership with her daughter Roxy, who remains in the competition as a faithful.
Alongside her co-contestants, she’s determined to uncover the remaining traitors after Hugo Lodge’s elimination.
During last night’s episode, Fiona Hughes was exposed as the hidden traitor following a week of working independently and compiling her murder shortlist.
Together with fellow traitors Stephen Libby and Rachel Duffy, she continues her mission of hiding her real identity, while hoping to secure the potential prize pot of up to £120,000.
