Former N-Dubz star Tulisa was left hiding for several days after she was struck by an attack of her Bell’s palsy, but seemed in high spirits as she emerged for the first time
Tulisa Contostavlos has been spotted for the first time since her face was paralysed following a brutal health issue.
Younger singer Tulisa, 37, emerged from hiding on Wednesday (April 29) after she suffered an attack from her Bell’s palsy. The star has been open on how the condition affects her, including how she is unable to move her face at all when an attack hits.
But as she headed out to spend some time with her longtime pal Michelle McKenna in Cheshire, she seemed to be in good spirits. She even was able to flash a smile for the cameras when she was papped by photographers.
The star was first diagnosed with the condition back in 2020, and revealed that she suffers badly from the neurological disorder. Those who are diagnosed with Bell’s palsy are left with partial or complete paralysis on one side of the face, when nerves in the face don’t work as they should.
But seemingly thrilled to be outside, Tulisa was grinning from ear to ear as she headed out to see her mate. She was seen wearing a casual look as she left her car, wearing a loose-fitting grey jumpsuit.
Flaunting her gorgeous physique, the star also donned a stylish cream cord jack on top of the jumpsuit, as well as a navy baseball cap and a pair of tinted sunglasses. She finished off her look with a pair of white Nike sneakers and a white flask as she walked along the road in Alderley Edge.
In another snap, Tulisa was seen chatting away with no qualms with good pal Michelle, who recently was diagnosed with cancer. However, Tulisa has opened up on how incapacitated her Bell’s palsy attacks leave her.
Earlier this month, the rapper had revealed she had suffered another attack that had left her face paralysed in the short term. She also admitted that the paralysis meant that she was unable to have her eggs retrieved as she suffers another health issue.
In a candid and upfront health update, Tulisa admitted she had stopped smoking and has now gone under the knife to remove cysts. She admitted her recent health check-ups were caused by Michelle’s diagnosis for an aggressive form of cancer, which in turn triggered her Bell’s palsy attack.
She penned on Instagram: “Trying to turn my Instagram into a place of authenticity. All that crazy life experience into a bit of inspiration & tools for others. Which includes sharing my highs & the lows!
“Hormonal Roller Coaster: Cancelled my recent egg retrieval due to low count (Not surprised with how my body felt),” she went on to pen. “Last 3 cysts removed by Darryl Coombes who years ago discovered the cysts causing my swelling & Bell’s palsy. Now cyst/swell free. Big thanks to Dr.Al.”
