Justin Bieber Rumored to Collaborate With BTS

    WENN/Facebook

The ‘Justice’ singer is reportedly joining forces with the Bangtan Boys for his next music release following the merger of his manager’s firm and the group’s agency.

    Apr 30, 2021

    AceShowbiz –
Pop superstars Justin Bieber and BTS are preparing to take the charts by storm by joining forces for an explosive new collaboration.

The musicians are reportedly set to team up in the recording studio following the recent merger of Ithaca Holdings, the firm owned by Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun, and HYBE – formerly Big Hit Entertainment, to which BTS are signed.

“They are taking their time on it and going to make sure it is released right,” a source tells the New York Post’s Page Six.

It’s rumoured the track could feature on a revamped version of Bieber’s latest release, “Justice”, “to keep the album on the charts” although further details regarding the collaboration, which first surfaced on gossip blog Deuxmoi, have not been revealed.

BTS have long credited Bieber as one of their biggest pop inspirations while the “Baby” hitmaker has proved himself to be a fan of the K-pop icons, previously filming himself lip-synching to a chant of the bandmates’ names on TikTok and wishing Jungkook a happy birthday online.

Besides teaming up with Justin Bieber, the Bangtan Boys will return with their own new single, “Butter”, on 21 May (21).

The K-pop group’s second English-language single, following 2020 mega-hit “Dynamite”, is described as a “dance-pop track brimming with the smooth yet charismatic charm of BTS.”

It’s not known if it will be a standalone single or whether it will be part of an upcoming EP or album.

The boy band had record-breaking success with their very first all-English track, becoming the first Asian act ever to debut at the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the U.S., with a debut sales week that outsold every track released in the last three years.

The song also broke multiple streaming records on Spotify, iTunes and YouTube, and earned the group their highest-charting single in the U.K. when it debuted at number three.

They also became the first K-pop act to receive a major Grammy nomination although “Dynamite” lost out in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category to Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande’s collaboration “Rain on Me”.

However, not winning has become a “driving force” for them to take home one of the prestigious golden gilded gramophone trophies in the future.

Singer V said, “Not winning somehow refreshed me. I think it will be a driving force for becoming better.”

“We didn’t get an award this year,” added band member Suga. “But we want to be active as singers for a long time, it’s difficult of course, but perhaps next year, or the year after or before the end of our career, we want to get a Grammy.”

BTS’ last album was November’s (20) “BE (Deluxe Edition)”, which was created in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Weeknd Dominates 2021 Billboard Music Awards With 16 Nominations

    WENN

The ‘Blinding Lights’ hitmaker leads the nominees for the upcoming Billboard Music Awards by grabbing a total of 16 nods including the coveted title of Top Artist.

    Apr 30, 2021

    AceShowbiz –
R&B star The Weeknd will be the artist to beat at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards after landing a total of 16 nominations.

The singer will compete for prizes including Top Artist and Top Male Artist, with both categories featuring The Weeknd pitted against Drake, Juice WRLD, and Pop Smoke.

Rapper DaBaby is the second most-nominated with 11 nods, ahead of the late Pop Smoke with 10.

Leading the female artists are Gabby Barrett and Megan Thee Stallion with nine and seven mentions, respectively.

Drake is on course to make Billboard history at the ceremony if he emerges triumphant in any of the seven categories he is shortlisted for, as he is already the artist with the most wins of all time with 27 gongs to his name.

Meanwhile, disgraced country star Morgan Wallen is in the running for six categories thanks to the huge success of his recent release, “Dangerous: The Double Album”, but he won’t be invited to participate in the ceremony due to the N-word controversy which derailed his rising career in late January (21).

“Morgan Wallen is a finalist this year based on charting,” reads a statement issued by producers at dick clark productions. “As his recent conduct does not align with our core values, we will not be including him on the show in any capacity (performing, presenting, accepting).”

“It is heartening and encouraging to hear that Morgan is taking steps in his anti-racist journey and starting to do some meaningful work. We plan to evaluate his progress and will consider his participation in future shows.”

The winners, based on U.S. chart data, will be unveiled at a televised event in Los Angeles on 23 May (21).

Tiffany Haddish Walks Away From One-Sided Love in Ty Dolla $ign's 'By Yourself' Remix Video

    [embedded content]

In the music video, the ‘Girls Trip’ actress joins the ‘Paranoid’ rapper to celebrate her freedom after not getting any love in return from her male love interest.

    Apr 29, 2021

    AceShowbiz –
Tiffany Haddish has starred in a music video for Ty Dolla $Ign’s “By Yourself” remix featuring Jhene Aiko, Bryson Tiller and Mustard. In the visual of the track released on Wednesday, April 28, the “Girls Trip” actress portrays a woman who walks away from a one-sided relationship.

Co-directed by the 39-year-old rapper and Alex Bittan, the music video starts with the sound of Tiffany’s angry voicemail that she sends to her selfish partner. Soon after leaving her partner, the comedienne joins the MC as she celebrates her freedom by dancing in front of a car.

Jhene and Bryson both make appearances in the video as they rap their parts. In the third verse, Jhene spits, “Yeah, you know I do this s**t on my own/ Pockets long, I’m so grown, I’m so godly/ Even when alone, I’m never lonely/ Only call him up when I am horny/ Yeah, I’m that b***h and I know it (And I know it).”

“And I don’t even need nobody else to notice/ I be ridin’ through the hood bumpin’ my own s**t/ Headed to the crib right by the ocean,” she goes on rhyming. “Yeah, I did it, I did it, I do it all by myself, yeah/ I get it, I get it, don’t need nobody else, ooh, woah.”

The footage ends with jump cuts between Ty, Bryan and Jhene spitting the last line, “You don’t need a man, you do it by yourself.” Tiffany, meanwhile, still gets her groove on as she flashes a wide smile to the camera.

Produced by Mustard, “By Yourself” was one of the singles from Ty’s third album “Featuring Ty Dolla Sign”. The album itself featured guest appearances from Kanye West, Post Malone, Quavo, Nicki Minaj, Kid Cudi, Thundercat, Big Sean, Roddy Ricch, Kehlani, Future, Young Thug, Gunna and others.

The remix version of “By Yourself” was originally dropped in mid-March. Announcing the release on Instagram at that time, Ty declared, “Remix out now!! @brysontiller @jheneaiko @mustard you did it by yourself !! featuringtydollasign.”

Lana Del Rey Clowned Over Bad Album Cover

    WENN/Avalon

When announcing the release date for her new album ‘Blue Banisters’, the ‘Born to Die’ singer posts the cover art that features a heavily-edited version of her previously-released selfie.

    Apr 29, 2021

    AceShowbiz –
Lana Del Rey may be a great musician, but her fans are questioning her sense of graphic art. The six-time Grammy nominated artist has become the butt of a joke after unveiling the cover of her upcoming new album.

On Tuesday, April 27, the “Blue Jeans” hitmaker made use of her Instagram account to announce that her new album titled “Blue Bannisters” will be released on July 4. Along with it, she shared the cover art, which is a heavily-edited version of her selfie which she previously posted in August 2020.

The cover art features her photo with a sepia-toned filter and inelegant white frame. Her freckles are on full display and her frizzy hair stands out as the album’s title is written in a curly blue font at the bottom of the image.

The apparent amateur level of the image has led people to dub it a “PicsArt cover,” as Lana herself has been accused of being a PicsArt enthusiast in the past. PicsArt is a photo-editing app that is known for its amateur-friendly features, simple effects and cutesy stickers.

Due to the questionable aesthetic of the album cover, fans quickly took to Twitter to post their reactions, making the word “picsart” trending on the blue bird app. “YOU GUYS REALLY DONT LIKE THAT ALBUM LMFAO NOW PICSART IS TRENDING..,” one person pointed out.

A disappointed fan admitted, “it’s so tiring being a lana stan these days i cannot keep defending her. the picsart cover…” Another posted a meme of “lana del rey logging into picsart to make her new cover art.”

Some even went as far as creating an online petition to “ban Lana from PicsArt.” The petition creator wrote, “Lana had terrorized [us] just way too long with these edits, we need to stop her. Sign this for a future of quality album covers from Lana again.”

The petition has gained over 3,000 signatures out of its goal of 5,000. One person who signed the petition wrote, “I’m signing because I’m a proud Lana stan, she is my religion, the almighty queen of cocaine and Coney island. But the cover for Blue Banisters is the ugliest thing I’ve seen her make.”

“The Lana subreddit has better fan-made covers,” another claimed. Someone else demanded that Lana remove the bad cover, writing, “Lana baby if ur reading this we love you but these god awful album covers need to cease.”

Lana Del Rey Announces Release Date for 2021's Third Album 'Blue Banister'

    Instagram

The ‘Chemtrails Over the Country Club’ singer is set to release another new studio album, a month after dropping her second set of this year ‘Rock Candy Sweet’.

    Apr 29, 2021

    AceShowbiz –
Lana Del Rey is set to release her third album of 2021, “Blue Banisters”, this summer (21).

The prolific star already announced the follow-up to March’s “Chemtrails Over the Country Club”, “Rock Candy Sweet”, will arrive on 1 June.

And now the “White Dress” hitmaker has revealed her next record will drop around a month later on 4 July.

Lana tweeted along with the artwork, “Album out July 4th BLUE BANISTERS.”

The singer will challenge accusations of her “cultural appropriation and glamorising of domestic abuse” on “Rock Candy Sweet”.

      See also…

Lana faced a backlash last year after she made comments on the topic of equality after likening herself to stars such as Ariana Grande, Cardi B, Camila Cabello, and Beyonce in a post about feminism.

The “Video Games” hitmaker wrote on social media, “Now that Doja Cat, Ariana (Grande), Camila (Cabello), Cardi B, Kehlani and Nicki Minaj and Beyonce have had number ones with songs about being sexy, wearing no clothes, f**king cheating etc – can I please go back to singing about being embodied, feeling beautiful by being in love even if the relationship is not perfect, or dancing for money – or whatever I want – without being crucified or saying that I’m glamorizing abuse?????? (sic)”

Lana later added, “There has to be a place in feminism for women who look and act like me – the kind of woman who says no but men hear yes.”

She was forced to respond and argued her comments weren’t related to race.

Lana said, “And my last and final note on everything – when I said people who look like me – I meant the people who don’t look strong or necessarily smart, or like they’re in control etc.”

“it’s about advocating for a more delicate personality, not for white woman – thanks for the Karen comments tho. V helpful. (sic)”

Lil Baby has unleashed the remix of his Billboard Hot 100 hit single “On Me” featuring Megan Thee Stallion. Released on Tuesday, April 27, the song was accompanied with its music video that sees the “We Paid” rapper and the “Hot Girl Summer” femcee getting hot and cold.

The clip directed by Mike House starts with the 26-year-old MC spitting his verse around glaciers. At some points, he is joined by the Houston native before she raps her lyrics on the top of an erupting volcano while surrounded by lava.

“This ain’t tag, why you runnin’ from me/ Suck it while he cummin’ (Ah)/ When I do my little dance, get the Kelly and the Birkin (Mwah),” the Grammy-winning artist raps on the second verse. “If he act up I don’t give a f**k, I’m a rich b***h (I’m a rich b***h)/ I’ll be damned if a n****a have me cryin’ in the whip.”

After releasing the remix, Lil Baby expressed his joy on Instagram. Sharing a part of the music video, he exclaimed, ” ‘On Me Remix’ Out Now @theestallion Be Talking Crazyyyyyyy !! 2021 Gone Be CRAZY.” The song itself was originally dropped in December 2020. Due to the demands of the Hot Girl lifestyle [Meg] has now entered a period of regeneration to prepare for what’s next.”

“In her absence; mgmt will manage all social posting on behalf of Thee Hot Girl Coach,” the computerized message continued to read. “[[Thee Hotties]] lead a brave //RESISTANCE in anticipation for the return of their Fearless Captain!”
