Dedicating the promo to Alejandro, the ‘Senorita’ hitmaker fills it with her childhood home videos, and thanks her father for loving her ‘unconditionally, ferociously, and constantly.’
    Jun 22, 2020
AceShowbiz – Camila Cabello is making sure her dad knows how much she loves him on Father’s Day. On Sunday, June 22, the “Havana” hitmaker celebrated her father, Alejandro, by releasing a brand new music video for her sweet song “First Man”, that is filled with her sweet childhood memories of the two of them.
Four-minute long, the visual presents a compilation of the 23-year-old singer’s home videos that capture the warm moments they shared beginning with the time she was just a newborn. It sees her watching the footage on a television, and at one point, her teary-eyed father sits next to her as they look at the videos together.
When dropping the promo, the girlfriend of Shawn Mendes announced on Instagram, “Papa, I made this for you.” She continued, “thank you for loving me, unconditionally, ferociously, and constantly. doesnt matter if I fail or succeed, doesn’t matter if I feel on top of the world or like the dirt on my shoe lol. you love me just because you love me, without me needing to do or be anything other than just me.”
Wishing Alejandro a happy Father’s Day, the former member of Fifth Harmony went on to note why she is grateful for her father. “thank you endlessly, for everything. Thank you for showing me what love is and for showing me how to be loved,” she added. “I will always be your little girl. te amo mucho papa, thank you for being my hero, happy Father’s Day.”

Cabello has previously spilled that “First Man” was about her father’s reaction to her first serious relationship. In an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple’s New Music Daily, she shared, “This song is basically about when I was in my first serious relationship, I had never brought a boy home before. My dad hadn’t seen me dating or whatever. He was just like very sensitive about it.”
“And I think that’s the first time that he really felt that. And so he felt really protective over me and I just think that is the sweetest thing. I think the song is going to be like wine to me,” she continued explaining. “Like I think when I’m like 90 years old and if someday I’m just listening back to my songs, I think it’s just going to get more and more important to me as time goes on.”
Cabello performed the song live for the first time at the 62nd Grammy Awards in late January 2020. Leaving no dry eyes with her emotional performance, the “Senorita” singer reduced her father to tears when she stepped down from the stage to hold his hand near the end of her singing.

    Mar 25, 2020
AceShowbiz – Camila Cabello has issued a heartfelt apology to fans after making the decision to postpone her “The Romance Tour” amid the global coronavirus pandemic.
The “Havana” star had been due to hit the road in Europe in May, before continuing across North America throughout the summer. However, the ongoing crisis surrounding Covid-19 has led to Camila joining the long list of musicians either cancelling or postponing live dates, as she explained to her fans in a lengthy post on Instagram on Tuesday, March 24.
“I’m truly heartbroken to say that we’ve decided we need to postpone our tour…” she wrote. “We can’t start rehearsals without putting people at risk and with so much up in the air with no real and definitive end in sight, I feel this is the responsible thing to do. We will do our very best to reschedule as soon as we are about to, expect more info in the near future. I’m so so sorry you guys. I’m so sad at the thought of disappointing you.”
“I was so excited to see you and hug you in person and sing these songs with you. We’ve been working on something really magical and special and I keep picturing your faces and I just wanted to bring you guys the dreamiest experience possible. DaBaby Helps Camila Cabello Become Hollywood Star in 'My Oh My' Video

    [embedded content]

In the Dave Meyers-directed visuals, the Cuban songstress plays a struggling actress who is frustrated that she’s unable to convince producers to take her seriously.
    Feb 13, 2020
AceShowbiz – Camila Cabello finds her hero in DaBaby. On Wednesday, February 12, the “Havana” hitmaker released a brand new music video for “My Oh My”, the final single from her second studio album “Romance”, unveiling the “BOP” rapper’s part in making her a cinematic star.
The black-and-white promo, which oozes 1920s Hollywood vibes, starts with the 22-year-old singer being presented as a struggling silent movie star. Aspiring to be more than just a doll face, she is left frustrated by her inability to convince film producers to take her seriously and to let her be a heroine in a movie.
It is not until the former member of Fifth Harmony goes to a bar that she meets up-and-coming movie mogul DaBaby. Breaking out of her good girl mold, she impresses him with her sword-wielding skills. After he buys her out of her contract, colors comes to her world and she lands a starring role in his production of “La Bonita Blade” where she is introduced as “Killer Cam.”
The music video comes from the hands of director Dave Meyers. In less than 10 hours since its debut on YouTube, it has gotten more than 2 million views. The song itself has stayed on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for nine weeks. It peaked at No. 31 since its release in early January, joining her hit single “Senorita”, which also came from the same album, in the chart.

Prior to the release, Camila made use of social media to tease a number of her looks featured in the video. Along with the photos, the girlfriend of Shawn Mendes asked her followers, “what do you think will be the storyline of the music video for my oh my ? we’ll see who’s proven right next week hehehehehe.”

On the release date of the video, Camilla once again turned to Instagram to share a mock poster of it. She wrote on its caption, “WATCH AN UP AND COMING FILM MOGUL AND A STRUGGLING ACTRESS FIND EACH OTHER IN THIS THROWBACK ADVENTURE!!!!!!!!! finally!”
