  • Is Drake Hitting Back at Pusha T on 'Only You Freestyle'? Listen!

The Canadian rapper spits his bars on his collaboration with U.K. rapper Headie One, ‘Don’t make me have to fly my iTunes/ So much people buy into my hype.’
    Jul 21, 2020
AceShowbiz – Remember when Pusha T appeared to diss Drake on Pop Smoke’s “Paranoia”? It looks like the Canadian hip-hop star has come up with his response when U.K. rapper Headie One released his collaboration with Drake, “Only You Freestyle”, on Monday, July 20 along with its accompanying music video.
“Don’t make me have to rise my rifle/ Man try send some young boys for me/ Don’t make me have to ride by high school/ S**t, you man been droppin’ lately/ Don’t make me have to fly my iTunes/ So much people buy into my hype/ Don’t make me have to buy my hype, too,” the “God’s Plan” rapper spits his bars in Patios dialect, presumably referring to Pusha.
Besides Pusha, Drake apparently comes after Kanye West too as he claims that the latter hides behind Pusha. “Dealt with the big homie already/ Don’t make me have to side-by-side you/ Nuff times he tried to hide behind you/ Amnesia but when I remind you/ I’m touchin’ road and I can’t find you,” he raps, making people think that the “big homie” in the verse is Kanye.

Earlier this month, Pusha sparked chatter after he appeared to throw a shot at Drake on Pop Smoke’s “Paranoia” that was supposed to be included on the late star’s album “Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon”. It failed to make the cut because of a glitch and has now been confirmed to be added to an upcoming LP.
In the song itself, Pusha made a reference to a city near Drake’s hometown of Toronto. “I might even buy a home out in Mississauga/ On my walls, half scrawls of Tshabalala’s/ Many doors, that are sprawled, they my il nana’s,” so he rapped. “Make a call, she gon’ crawl, Bad Gyal Patra/ I’m involved then absolved, I am Godfather, hush.”

  • Drake Appears to Rap About Baby Mama Sophie Brussaux on DJ Khaled Collab 'Greece'

    Instagram

Meanwhile, on another new song he releases with the record producer, the Canadian rapper name-drops a lot of celebrities, including Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber.
    Jul 18, 2020
AceShowbiz – Drake might have used one of his new songs with DJ Khaled to give his baby mama, Sophie Brussaux, a shoutout. People are convinced that the Canadian hip-hop star is referencing the model on “Greece”, which made its way out on Friday, July 17.
In the first verse of the song, Drake can be heard rapping, “Speedboats, baby, in Nikki Beach/ Waves in my ears, smokin’ weed (Oui, oui)/ Whippin’ through the sand in a Jeep (Oui, oui)/ All because of what I did on beats, baby.” Even though Drake doesn’t name names in this verse, Nikki Beach is the holiday spot that Sophie frequents to. Last December, she was seen at the luxury beach club with her friends.
Not stopping there, the fact that there’s a part where Drake raps in French has successfully raised many people’s eyebrows. They assume that Sophie, who is French, was the one who taught the “Hotline Bling” rapper how to pronounce the words since he sounds so fluent on the song.

“Greece” will be included on Khaled’s upcoming album “Khaled Khaled”, whose release date has yet to be announced. Besides “Greece”, the two hip-hop stars have also unveiled another collaboration entitled “Popstar”. While Drake keeps things vague on “Greece”, it is not the case with “Popstar”. The “God’s Plan” hitmaker name-drops a lot of celebrities, including Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber.
Not only Ariana and Justin, but Drake also shouts out the pop superstars’ manager, Scooter Braun, on the song. “You would probably think my manager is Scooter Braun, yeah/ But my manager with twenty h**s in Buddakan, yeah, ayy,” he spits his bars. “Look, Ariana, Selena, my Visa/ It can take as many charges as it needs to, my girl/ That s**t platinum just like all of my releases, my girl.”

Elsewhere on the song, Drake makes “The Bodyguard” references. He raps, “Bodyguards don’t look like Kevin Costner, you tweakin’/ Just pulled up to Whitney Houston, Texas for the evenin’.”

  • Justin Bieber Secures 16th Top Five Hit on Billboard Hot 100 With 'Intentions'

The ‘Yummy’ singer’s collaboration with Quavo helps him to be in tie with Drake as the most successful top five act of the century, and gives his fourth mention in the top five in 2020.
    Jun 16, 2020
AceShowbiz – Justin Bieber has tied with Drake to become the most successful U.S. top five act of the century after landing another hit with rapper Quavo.
The pair’s Intentions collaboration has jumped up to the Billboard Hot 100’s top flight, giving Bieber his 16th top five hit since 2000.
That ties fellow Canadian Drake for the most this century.
It’s also Bieber’s fourth mention in the top five this year.

DaBaby’s “Rockstar”, featuring Roddy Ricch, spends a fourth week at number one, while Megan Thee Stallion’s former chart-topper, “Savage”, featuring Beyonce Knowles, stays put at two, ahead of The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights”, Doja Cat’s “Say So” and the Bieber/Quavo hit.

Drake Reacts After Facing Backlash for Calling Kylie Jenner 'Side Piece' in Unreleased Song

    Instagram

The ‘Toosie Slide’ hitmaker is upset by the song leak that reveals his lyrics about rumored flame Kylie, her sister Kendall Jenner, and fellow model Gigi Hadid.
    May 22, 2020
AceShowbiz – Drake is far from happy a scrapped song, in which he suggests reality TV star and young business mogul Kylie Jenner is a “side piece,” has been leaked as an unreleased new track.
An associate of the rapper’s previewed some future hits on his Instagram Live account and in one, Drake namechecks Kylie, her sister Kendall Jenner, and pregnant model Gigi Hadid.
    “Yeah, I’m a hater to society/Real s**t, Kylie Jenner that’s a side piece/Yeah, I got 20 motherf***in’ Kylies,” he raps in the song, adding, “Yeah, I got 20 d**n Kendalls/Young slim baddies and they in vogue/Yeah, I got 20 f**kin’ Gigis.”
Drake woke up on Thursday, May 21, 2020 to discover the track, a collaboration with Future, had been posted overnight and quickly addressed the backlash from fans of Jenner, who felt he’d disrespected her.
“(It) shouldn’t have been played,” he wrote. “It’s a song that leaked 3 years ago and got scrapped shortly after.”
“He (associate) was just going too deep in the drake/future catalogue. Last thing I’d want to do is wake up having any friends of mine feeling disrespected so I just had to say that to start the day.”
He didn’t expand on the true meaning behind the rap lyric, but there were rumours late last year 2019 suggesting Kylie and Drake were secretly dating after she attended his Halloween party.
Kylie split from hip-hop star Travis Scott, who worked with Drake on hit song “Sicko Mode”, in late 2019. The exes share daughter Stormi, two.

The ‘In My Feelings’ hitmaker joins the legendary Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and Queen as musicians to pull off the feat three times in his career to date.
    May 10, 2020
AceShowbiz – Drake has made U.K. chart history after topping both the albums and singles countdowns for the third time in his career. The rapper’s track “Toosie Slide” takes first place on the Official Singles Chart, giving him his sixth number one, while his “Dark Lane Demo Tapes” mixtape leads the new albums list.
He is the third artist to achieve the chart double this year 2020, following in the footsteps of British rapper Stormzy, who took his “Heavy Is the Head” album and single “Own It” to the top, and Eminem, whose “Music to Be Murdered by” hit number one at the same time as his “Godzilla” song in January.
Drake also joins an elite club of musicians in pulling off the feat three times in his career to date, each with separate releases.
He previously scored the chart double with “Views” and the track “One Dance” in May 2016, and with “Scorpion” and the single “In My Feelings” in July 2019, making him just the 10th act in British chart history to do so.
He was preceded by Ed Sheeran, Rihanna, Madonna, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Queen, Cliff Richard, ABBA, and Elvis Presley.
“Dark Lane Demo Tapes” replaces Dua Lipa’s album “Future Nostalgia” in first place, forcing her release down to number two and Lewis Capaldi’s “Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent” slips one spot to three.
Meanwhile, “Toosie Slide” leads Doja Cat’s “Say So” at two and Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage” jumps to three on the singles chart.
