    Instagram

One week after launching a follow-up to 2020’s ‘Changes’, the ‘Sorry’ hitmaker offers the Triple Chucks version that features collaborations with Lil Uzi Vert, Jaden Smith and Quavo among others.

    Mar 27, 2021

    AceShowbiz –
Justin Bieber has treated fans to six new songs as part of the surprise deluxe version of his new album “Justice”.

The “Sorry” hitmaker originally dropped “Justice” last week (March 19), but on Friday, March 26, he served up even more new material with the previously-unannounced launch of “Justice (Triple Chucks Deluxe)”.

The day before, Justin’s manager Scooter Braun took to Instagram to share news about the album’s deluxe edition. “The response of this past week has been amazing to the album #justice that the man himself had to show love with even more music,” he wrote. “#justice triple chuck deluxe tonight. More tracks. More music! @justinbieber bravo.”

The latest additions to the 16-song project include “There She Go” with rapper Lil Uzi Vert, “I Can’t Be Myself” with Jaden Smith, and “Wish You Would” with Migos star Quavo.

DaBaby teams up with Justin on “Know No Better”, and singer Tori Kelly adds her vocals to “Name”, while the pop superstar completes the new tracklisting with “Lifetime”.

“Justice” is the follow-up to 2020’s “Changes”, and Justin recently revealed he “started from scratch” for the latest album, after initially planning to make the records “back-to-back”.

In an interview with Vulture, Justin’s music director, Bernard “Harv” Harvey explained about the change to the “back-to-back” plan. “The original plan was to do two albums back-to-back [but keep them separate]. We literally started from scratch,” he said. “We wanted ‘Justice’ to have its own sound, its own identity, so we put those old songs back on the shelf.”

Justin Bieber Did This to Make Sure 'Justice' Has 'Its Own Identity'

According to his music director, the ‘Yummy’ singer scrapped leftover songs from his previous album and ‘started from scratch’ with his new studio installment.

    Mar 27, 2021

    AceShowbiz –
Justin Bieber “started from scratch” with “Justice”.

The “Yummy” singer released his new album last week, just seven months after he brought out LP “Changes”. And though he’d always planned to make two records “back-to-back,” he was keen for them to be entirely separate projects and scrapped a number of songs leftover from the sessions for the earlier album.

His music director, Bernard ‘Harv’ Harvey – who also co-wrote and co-produced “Somebody” and “Peaches” for “Justice” – told Vulture, “The original plan was to do two albums back-to-back (but keep them separate). We literally started from scratch. We wanted Justice to have its own sound, its own identity, so we put those old songs back on the shelf.”

And to better establish the divide, Justin brought in a number of new writers, including Gregory ‘Aldae’ Hein.

“People know Justin as a pop star,” Aldae said of the shift. “I think he crushes the R&B, but I personally love this style of music more with him.”

And a high standard was set for the album early on in the process.

“It’s about making sure that this album is going to be the best album of the year,” Harv said. “Every producer and writer, we all had that same idea.”

Back in December (20), the 27-year-old singer held a meeting with his collaborators to talk about how “important” the record was to him.

“He talked about how important this album was to us, and how his name actually was translated to justice (from Latin_, and how important it was for him to make an impact, and how he was in this high position,” Aldae recalled. “He was calling on us to help be the vessel for what he wanted to channel into the world. He was very vulnerable with us about wanting to put that goodness into the songs.”

Once the recording was complete, it was a careful process to choose the 16 tracks that make up the album.

“It’s a format, how we track-list the album. We kind of let the album grow as you listen to it,” Harv said. “We literally sat down and listened to every song and made sure that they all sounded like they were on the same project.”

“For me, it was kind of hard, ’cause I had way more songs that were supposed to be on the album, but it just didn’t (fit together with the sound). That was a moment for me to be like, OK, it’s about the full body of work.”

Justin Bieber Announces 'Justice' Initiative Supporting Social Good to Mark New Album Release

    Instagram

The ‘Never Say Never’ hitmaker uses his platform for good cause as he announces his support for organizations fighting for justice to celebrate his new studio installment.

    Mar 20, 2021

    AceShowbiz –
Justin Bieber has teamed up with bosses at digital marketing platform Propeller to raise awareness and generate support for organisations fighting for justice.

The new initiative has been launched to coincide with the release of Bieber’s new album, “Justice”, on Friday (19Mar21).

Announcing the partnership with Propeller on Twitter on Thursday, Justin wrote, “In honour of #Justice I’m supporting organisations that embody what justice looks like in action.”

The charities who will directly benefit from the campaign include Alexandria House, Anti-Recidivism Coalition, Baby2Baby, Equal Justice Initiative, and the Poor People’s Campaign.

Fans donating money to the cause can win tickets to shows on Justin’s 2022 tour, an Epiphone Hummingbird Artist guitar signed by the pop star, and a shopping spree from Justin’s online store.

Unfortunately for the singer, he’s currently embroiled in a legal dispute with dance duo Justice, who have accused Bieber of stealing their logo.

The dance troupe fired a cease-and-desist letter. They told Justin in their letter, “Your use of the Mark is illegal. You have not received permission from Justice to utilize the Mark. Moreover, Bieber’s work is in no way affiliated with, supported by, or sponsored by Justice.”

“Such use of the Mark is not only illegal, but likely to deceive and confuse consumers.”

“Not only was Bieber’s team actually aware of Justice’s use of the Mark, they sought to use the same artist to essentially duplicate it for the Album. This is textbook bad faith and willful infringement. Through your illegal co-opting of the Mark, you are now subject to immediate legal action and damages including, but not limited to, punitive and injustice relief.”

Justin Bieber Defended by Martin Luther King's Daughter Over Use of MLK's Speeches on New Album

    Instagram

Bernice King is grateful to the ‘What Do You Mean?’ hitmaker for supporting global movement for justice by featuring the civil rights icon’s speeches on his new album.

    Mar 20, 2021

    AceShowbiz –
Martin Luther King’s daughter has defended Justin Bieber for using snippets from her father’s speeches on his new album cover, revealing the pop star asked for permission to feature the civil rights icon.

Bieber came under fire early on Thursday night (18Mar21) as his latest record, “Justice”, dropped, with critics calling the star “tone deaf” for mixing pop songs with King’s words.

In fact, the very first voice listeners heard on the album was one of King’s speeches, “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere,” at the beginning of the track “2 Much”.

There’s also a nearly two-minute MLK Interlude track in the middle of the record, which leads into a song called “Die for You”.

Bernice King has offered no commentary on how Bieber used her dad’s speeches on the album, but she has confirmed he did ask the MLK Estate for clearance.

She tweets, “Thank you, @justinbieber, for your support, in honor of #Justice, of @TheKingCenter’s work and of our #BeLove campaign, which is a part of our global movement for justice.”

Bieber is currently embroiled in a legal dispute with dance duo Justice, who have accused Bieber of stealing their logo for the cover art of “Justice”.

Justin Bieber Goes Retro in Music Video for 'Peaches'

    [embedded content]

It has been widely speculated that Justin writes the lyrics of the romantic tune, which also features Daniel Caesar and Giveon, for his model wife Hailey Baldwin.

    Mar 19, 2021

    AceShowbiz –
Justin Bieber has unveiled the music video for his single “Peaches”, much to fans’ excitement. Released on Thursday evening, March 18, the new visuals sees the pop singer mixing retro ’90s vibes with modern color pallettes while singing the song alongside collaborators Giveon and Daniel Caesar.

The video opens with Justin cruising around in a car alongside Giveon and Daniel. The “Sorry” hitmaker can be seen hanging in and on top of the car while singing, “There’s nothing like your touch/ It’s the way you lift me up/ And I’ll be right here with you ’til the end.”

In the chorus, Justin croons, “I got my peaches out in Georgia (Oh, yeah, s**t)/ I get my weed from California (That’s that s**t)/ I took my chick up to the North, yeah (Bada** b***h)/ I get my light right from the source, yeah (Yeah, that’s it).”

It has been widely speculated that Justin wrote the lyrics of the romantic tune for his model wife Hailey Baldwin. “Peaches”, meanwhile, is off Justin’s long-awaited album “Justice” that also contains megahit singles “Holy” featuring Chance the Rapper and “Lonely” featuring Benny Blanco.

Prior to this, Justin shared why he chose the word justice for his new album. “In a time when there’s so much wrong with this broken planet we all crave healing and justice for humanity. In creating this album my goal is to make music that will provide comfort, to make songs that people can relate to and connect to so they feel less alone,” he shared on social media back in February.

“Suffering, injustice and pain can leave people feeling helpless. Music is a great way of reminding each other that we aren’t alone. Music can be a way to relate to one another and connect with one another,” he continued.

The Canadian rapper also added that he “cannot simply solve injustice by making music but I do know that if we all do our part by using our gifts to serve this planet and each other that we are that much closer to being united.”

Report: Justin Bieber Not Attending Grammys After Protest Over 'Changes' Pop Album Nomination

    Instagram

The ‘Yummy’ singer is reportedly joining the list of artists boycotting the 2021 awards show after he complained about his album being nominated in pop category instead of RnB.

    Mar 12, 2021
AceShowbiz – Justin Bieber is allegedly joining the list of artists who are boycotting the 63rd annual Grammy Awards. The Canadian pop star is said planning not to attend the upcoming ceremony, set to take place on Sunday, March 14.
In addition to not being scheduled to perform at the show, the “Lonely” crooner’s decision to skip this year’s Grammy is reportedly due to his protest over his album “Changes” being nominated in pop category instead of R&B. The 27-year-old previously expressed his displease with the nomination after the nominations were announced in November 2020.
“To the Grammys,” he wrote on Instagram at the time. “I am flattered to be acknowledged and appreciated for my artistry. I am very meticulous and intentional about my music. With that being said, I set out to make an R&B album.”

“I grew up admiring R&B music and wished to make a project that would embody that sound. For this not to be put into that category feels weird considering from the chords to the melodies to the vocal style all the way down to the hip hop drums that were chosen it is undeniably, unmistakably an R&B Album!” he explained.
“To be clear I absolutely love Pop music it just wasn’t what I set out to make this time around,” the husband of Hailey Baldwin also noted. “My gratitude for feeling respected for my work remains and I am honored to be nominated either way.”
Should the report of Justin boycotting the Grammys be true, he’s following the footsteps of fellow Canadian star The Weeknd who has expressed his disappointment at the Recording Academy. On Thursday, March 11, just days ahead of the 2021 ceremony, he announced that he will never submit his music to the Grammy in the future. “Because of the secret committees, I will no longer allow my label to submit my music to the Grammys,” he told the New York Times.
Responding to the “Blinding Lights” hitmaker’s statement, interim Academy CEO Henry Mason Jr. said in a statement, “We’re all disappointed when anyone is upset. But I will say that we are constantly evolving. And this year, as in past years, we are going to take a hard look at how to improve our awards process, including the nomination review committees.”

Announcing Justice last month, Bieber said it will be his “small part” in providing both comfort and justice for those feeling helpless during these unprecedented times.
“In a time when there’s so much wrong with this broken planet we all crave healing and justice for humanity. In creating this album my goal is to make music that will provide comfort, to make songs that people can relate to and connect to so they feel less alone,” the 27-year-old wrote on Instagram, sharing the album’s cover. “Suffering, injustice and pain can leave people feeling helpless.”
“Music is a great way of reminding each other that we aren’t alone. Music can be a way to relate to one another and connect with one another,” he continued. “I know that I cannot simply solve injustice by making music but I do know that if we all do our part by using our gifts to serve this planet and each other that we are that much closer to being united.”
“This is me doing a small part. My part,” Bieber ended his note. “I want to continue the conversation of what justice looks like so we can continue to heal.”
Bieber released his last album “Changes” on last February (20), his first in five years. The album, which featured singles “Yummy” and “Forever”, was nominated for best pop vocal album at the Grammys.
