6ix9ine Reportedly Teaming Up With Nicki Minaj for Next Song

    Instagram

Report of his supposed collaboration with the ‘Anaconda’ raptress comes after the ‘Gooba’ hitmaker claimed that he’s going to ‘break the internet’ with his upcoming music video.
    May 22, 2020
AceShowbiz – 6ix9ine’s recent claim to “break the internet” with his upcoming music might not be an exaggeration. The “FEFE” hitmaker is reported to be prepping a collaboration with one of today’s top hip-hop artists, Nicki Minaj, while he’s serving home confinement.
According to MTO News, the top secret project is done, with the “Starships” raptress having “already recorded her part” in Los Angeles and “Tekashi did his part” in New York. A source reportedly close to the Trinidad and Tobago-born femcee additionally tells the site that Nicki is traveling to New York to film a video for the new song this coming weekend.
Should the report of the Nicki duet be true, it will mark 6ix9ine’s first collaboration with any artist since his early release from prison due to the coronavirus pandemic. The “Anaconda” hitmaker, meanwhile, recently earned her first No. 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 with Doja Cat’s “Say So (Remix)” which features her.
Earlier on Thursday, May 21, 6ix9ine told his fans that he intended to cause an even bigger stir with his next music video, following the release of his first post-prison song, “Gooba”. The 24-year-old star posted on Instagram along with a picture of him holding two kittens, “NEXT VIDEO WILL BREAK THE INTERNET IM PUSHING IT BACK TILL NEXT FRIDAY MAY 29TH.”
“Gooba” music video broke Eminem’s YouTube record for the most-watched hip-hop video in a 24-hour period after it was released on May 8. He, however, was not pleased with the song’s chart performance, accusing Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber and Billboard of chart manipulation after the two singers’ duet “Stuck With U” reached No. 1 and his debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the week ending May 23.
Ariana and Justin have denied the allegation, with Billboard responding to the rapper’s “six credit cards” claim. “Billboard and Nielsen Music/MRC Data conducts audits on all sales reported with access to purchase-level detail, and works with data partners to recognize excessive bulk purchases and remove those units from the final sales total. All titles this week, as in every week, were put under the same scrutiny,” Billboard stated.

Nicki Minaj Gets Real About Initial Hesitation to Collaborate With Doja Cat for 'Say So' Remix

    Instagram

Days after claiming the top of Billboard Hot 100 with the collaboration, the ‘Anaconda’ hitmaker clears up rumors she had been begging the ‘Juicy’ rapper’s team to let her do it.
    May 19, 2020
AceShowbiz – Nicki Minaj hesitated to jump on the remix to rap newcomer Doja Cat’s “Say So” hit because she initially “couldn’t catch the beat” of the track.
The hip-hop stars’ catchy collaboration earned the artists their first number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 last week (begins May 11), but Minaj admits she initially wasn’t sure how to tackle the tune, so she took her time before agreeing to feature on the single.
The “Anaconda” hitmaker revealed the news on Twitter over the weekend (May 16-17) as she cleared up gossip suggesting she had been begging Doja Cat’s team to let her record the remix.
Explaining how the track came about, Minaj wrote, “I guess I never answered this & I c u guys chatting (sic).”
“I got a text from josh @ my label saying they got a request from her label. About 2 weeks later, I got another text from Jeff @ mngmnt (management). I sat on it (the song) for a while cuz I couldn’t catch the beat for the life of me really (sic).”

She added, “I was in full quarantine/hiatus mode. No social media. Had no clue what was going on in the music world.”

Landing Minaj for the remix was a dream come true for Doja Cat.
She previously revealed on North Carolina radio station Kiss 95.1 FM, “It (collaboration) was a conversation for a long time. And I was like, ‘This is who I want, this is who I want. Please God, please, please, please.’ And it just happened.”
Minaj’s remix helped to propel “Say So” up the Hot 100, making chart history as the first collaboration between two female rappers to top the countdown, beating Megan Thee Stallion’s new track with Beyonce Knowles, “Savage (Remix)”, to number one.

Nicki Minaj Remix Boosts Doja Cat's 'Say So' to No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100

The collaboration has given the ‘Anaconda’ hitmaker and the ‘Juicy’ rapper their first number one on the chart, denying Megan Thee Stallion and Beyonce Knowles’ ‘Savage’ the top slot.
    May 12, 2020
AceShowbiz – Doja Cat and Nicki Minaj have scored a first number one on the Billboard Hot 100 with “Say So”.
Neither artist has topped the chart before and their collaboration has kept Megan Thee Stallion and Beyonce Knowles’s Savage from reaching the summit.
Doja Cat’s track wasn’t even in the top five a week ago, but Minaj’s remix dropped on 1 May and led to a surge in sales, which has sent it to the top of the pile.
The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” falls to three on the new Hot 100, while Drake’s “Toosie Slide” and Roddy Ricch’s “The Box” complete the top five.

Meanwhile, Drake has tied Madonna’s record for the most Hot 100 top 10s of all-time with “Pain 1993”, which features Playboi Carti. The track debuts at seven on the new Hot 100 countdown and becomes his 38th top 10 track.

Is Nicki Minaj Dissing Beyonce in Doja Cat's 'Say So' Remix?

    Instagram

People are convinced that the ‘Anaconda’ hitmaker is referring to the ‘Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)’ songstress with her dissing lyrics in the song, after she denies that it’s about Wendy Williams.
    May 1, 2020
AceShowbiz – Doja Cat has enlisted Nicki Minaj in the sassy remix of her 2019 chart-climbing song “Say So”. Upon its release on early Friday, May 1, the song quickly sparked Internet chatter, not because of their collaboration, but because of Nicki’s bar in the remix.
In the new spin on the retro-grooving pop song, the Harajuku Barbie spits in the outro, “That real a** ain’t keep your n***a home,” prompting many to speculate whom she’s referring to. Many took to Twitter to come with their wild guesses, which mostly mentioned talk show host Wendy Williams.
“The way Nicki dragged Miss Wendy P Williams so effortlessly #SaySoRMX,” one person commented after listening to the new song. “NICKI DEVOURED THE F**K OUTTA THAT SONG #SaySoRMX,” another tweeted, along with a clip of Wendy on her show.

While Nicki and Wendy may not have the best relationship after the latter slammed the “Starships” raptress over her marriage to a registered sex offender, Kenneth Petty, the fans could not be more wrong. Debunking the speculation, the Trinidad and Tobago-born star has taken to her Instagram Stories to say that “the line ain’t about Wendy tho.”

This prompted Internet users to come up with another wild speculation, this time involving Beyonce Knowles. Pointing out the former Destiny’s Child member’s lyrics in “Savage” remix, “If you wanna see some real ass baby here’s yo chance,” one person claimed, “it can’t be about any other rap girls because we all know their ass fake and been fake. so what is this? is she really taking shots at bey? because this one will dead her career.”
Some others suggested that it’s could be about either Beyonce or Megan Thee Stallion. One of them weighed in, “It’s between meg and Beyonce. And now that I think about it meg dosent have fillers. Beyonce might.”
Should Nicki really refer to Beyonce, people are warning her about how this might impact her career. “This ain’t what she want Lol. She can barely sell music to her hardcore fans these days,” someone predicted the raptress’ doom.
Another advised her, “Beyonce has a lot of influence and respect in the streets and in the industry. Nicki can’t afford to go toe to toe with Bey. She better stick to the Meek Mills & the Cardi B’s that she’s use to if she wants to keep Kenny laced in the finest boot cut designer jeans.”
The original version of “Say So” appears on Doja’s sophomore album “Hot Pink”. The single got a major boost after going viral on TikTok.

    Apr 26, 2020

Ming perfectly rapped along to Nicki’s 2010 track, “And yes, I call the shots, I am the umpire/ I sprinkle holy water, upon a vampire/ In this very moment, I’m king/ In this very moment, I slayed Goliath with a sling.” She continued spitting her bars, “This very moment I bring/ Put it on everything, that I will retire with the ring.”
Her cover soon garnered praises from Internet users. “She sounds like Nicki when she first came out!” one said, as another already speculated what Ming’s future would be like, “She gonna grow up and tak the future Crown holder.” Someone else said, “She sound like her,” as one other commented, “Is sis gonna rap? Ooooo I have to stan.”
“See this is why there is no princess of rap ! Because Ming is gonna take the princess crown when she will grow up,” one more person said, while an individual chimed in, “Literally sounds, looks, moves. Just like her lol mini nick.”
Ming Maraj is Nicki’s step sister from her father’s side. Her existence was not known to the world until 2013, when Nicki posted on Twitter a photo of her sister. Nicki Minaj Claims Her Success Gives 'Brown-Skinned' Rappers Hard Time

    Instagram

The ‘Anaconda’ raptress stops by former manager Big Fendi’s podcast, in which they talk about her massive success as well as its huge impacts on other rappers.
    Apr 21, 2020
AceShowbiz – Nicki Minaj and Big Fendi recently reunited in his recent episode of his podcast. The “Anaconda” rapper and her former manager talked about her massive success and its impacts on other rappers.
Fendi, who helped the Trinidadian star navigate her rise to stardom, said that Nicki’s huge success only “made it hard for [brown-skinned rap chicks].” He noted, “I think brown-skinned chicks got to work a little harder.”
He continued, “You set a bar for brown-skinned chicks to be like’cause a lotta chicks at that time was like, ‘Oh wow, well, Nicki poppin’ right now. I gotta be at least trying to catch up to look like her somewhat.’ ”
Agreeing with what Fendi said, Nicki responded, “Well, I will say dark-skinned and brown-skinned women have to work extra harder in any field. Just like how I feel being Black, a Black woman. I feel like, if a White woman and me was going into the same job at Wall Street, I feel like I wouldn’t get the job off the rip just because of me being Black, unless I was double and triple times smarter than her or double and triple times better than her.”
“So yes, I do agree with that. Of course, it’s me so I don’t feel like my complexion is the reason why I made it, but I also don’t–I try not to be blind or play dumb to what’s really happening in the world,” she added.
Later during the interview, Fendi shared that Nicki “came in the game at a time where complexion played a part in a lot of stuff,” adding that “everyone was going for the lighter girls” in music videos.

In response, Nicki replied, “Yes, but I feel like now it’s changing.” She went on to say, “I feel like people now are making it their business to be like ‘melanin’ and that whole trend is very much happening right now, which I love.”

    Instagram

According to Young Money’s social media posts, the ‘Anaconda’ hitmaker is the first female rapper to amass such amount of money after being in the industry for 11 years.
    Mar 18, 2020
AceShowbiz – Nicki Minaj is solidifying herself in the world of rappers. Having had the records as the first female rapper to ever win BET Awards’ Best Female Hip-Hop Artist category for seven years in a row and as the first woman to have 100 career appearances on Billboard Hot 100, the “Yikes” hitmaker makes history by becoming the richest female MC of all time.
Breaking the news was the “Barbie Dreams” spitter’s record label, Young Money Entertainment, via its official Instagram account. “@nickiminaj has become the first female rapper in history to amass a $100 million net worth #QueenTingz,” her company boasted in the post dated Monday, March 16.
Minaj’s latest achievement was warmly welcomed by her fans. One commented, “she’s really sitting with the kings of hip hop.” Another gushed, “Damn the most beautiful creature on the planet and big ole bag god keeps blessing her cause real ni**as do real s**t.” A third raved, “Hhhh yeah come on b**ch ,,, show them who’s the Queen bb.”

Minaj signed a contract with Young Money back in 2009 after being discovered by Lil Wayne. Since her debut with “Your Love”, the “Megatron” rapper has been nominated 462 times at multiple awards shows and won 238 of them. All four of her studio albums have been certified platinum. News of Minaj becoming the wealthiest female rapper of all time came just weeks after her husband Kenneth Petty was arrested for failing to register as a sex offender in California. He was convicted of first-degree attempted rape in New York back in 1995, and served almost four years behind bars for the assault. Having pleaded guilty for his most recent federal crime, he is awaiting to stand trial in April.

Artist of the Week: Nicki Minaj

    Instagram

In such a short amount of time, the ‘Anaconda’ rapper manages to become one of the most popular female rap stars in the U.S. and build a large, loyal fanbase.
    Feb 24, 2020
AceShowbiz – Nicki Minaj is truly a force to be reckoned with. Through her music, she has inspired many people to be themselves and not to give a damn to what people say. Due to this, it’s no brainer that she managed to become one of the most popular female rap stars in the U.S. and build a large, loyal fanbase in such a short amount of time.
Every music she puts out has always been greatly welcomed by many and often became a trending topic on social media. Take her biggest hit, “Anaconda”, as an example. Its music video helped her become the first female rapper to have her music video surpassed 900 million views on YouTube with a lot of people attempting to do a parody of the iconic visuals.
Another example is her latest single, “Yikes”. Considering that the song marked her first song since she surprisingly announced her retirement, the hype leading up to its release was so big it trended on social media. It debuted at No. 23 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and at the summit of the Digital Songs component chart with 20,000 digital downloads.
Besides its great commercial performance, “Yikes” was well received by music critics. Complex listed the song among the best new music of the week, saying it’s nice to see “Nicki’s still got it.” The music publication also called the song a “cocky record that appears to target the ‘clowns’ on social media.”
However, “Yikes” is not a single off her new album. Nicki recently revealed that she would release the lead single off her upcoming album, which seemingly will find her taking on another alter-ego. During a short Q&A session with her fans on Twitter, the “Bang Bang” rapper described the new album as “Queen TF Sleeze.”
