    NBC

First up in the new episode of the long-running NBC show are Team Kelly Clarkson’s Ryleigh Modig who performs ‘Use Somebody’ and Corey Ward who belts out ‘Already Gone’.

    Apr 20, 2021

    AceShowbiz –
“The Voice” began its Knockout Rounds of season 20 in a new episode that aired on Monday, April 19. In the new outing, coaches Blake Shelton, Nick Jonas, John Legend and Kelly Clarkson continued searching the best singers to remain in their groups as the remaining contestants took the stage to battle each other.

First up that night were Team Kelly’s Ryleigh Modig who performed “Use Somebody” and Corey Ward who belted out “Already Gone”. Both singers offered show-stopping performances, making it hard for Kelly to decide. Kelly eventually chose Corey as the winner. Fortunately for Ryleigh, all other three coaches hit their buttons to steal her. Ryleigh went on Team John.

The next Knockout battle was between Team Blake’s Ethan Lively and Jordan Matthew Young. For the “country knockout,” Ethan picked “Help Me Hold On”, while Jordan sang “She Talks to Angels” to honor his late friend who died from addiction. Blake admitted that this was one of his toughest decisions, but he later decided to keep Jordan on his team.

Pia Renee and Ciana Pelekai from Team John then hit the stage for the next knockout. Pia opted to sing “What the World Needs Now Is Love” with Ciana choosing “Cuz I Love You” as the one song that she would perform. However, Ciana seemed to struggle to deliver the rap part of the song. John chose Pia as the winner.

???????? Later, Team Nick’s Keegan Ferrell and Dana Monique performed. Keegan went with “Just My Imagination (Running Away with Me)”, while Dana belted out “Nutbush City Limits”. Dana slayed her performance as she showed her personality and energy through the song. While Nick admitted that he was surprised that Keegan nailed the high notes in his performance, the Jonas Brothers member picked Dana as the winner of the battle.

Victor Solomon and Gean Garcia from Team John later performed. That night, Victor hoped to stay on the competition by performing “My Gil” against Gean, who opted to sing “Afterglow”. Blake and Nick went with Victor, while Kelly chose Gean. Eventually, John decided to keep Victor on his team.

Concluding the night were Team Blake’s Andrew Marshall and Pete Mroz. Andrew first hit the stage to offer a powerful performance of “I Won’t Give Up”. Pete followed it up with his rendition of “Before You Go”. Both singers impressed the coach and Nick even felt a tinge of regret in letting Andrew go previously. After much consideration, Blake chose Pete as the winner. Nick later hit his button to steal Andrew back.

'The Voice' Recap: Find Out Who Makes It to the Knockout Rounds

    NBC/Trae Patton

The new episode of the NBC long-running singing competition show features the final night of the Battle Rounds as remaining contestants perform in front of coaches.

    Apr 13, 2021

    AceShowbiz –
Season 20 of “The Voice” is soon going to enter the Knockout Rounds. The Monday, April 12 episode of the NBC long-running singing competition show featured the final night of the Battle Rounds as remaining contestants performed in front of coaches Blake Shelton, John Legend, Nick Jonas and Kelsea Ballerini, the latter of whom was there on behalf of Kelly Clarkson.

The first battle that night was between Team John’s Victor Solomon and Deion Warren who belted out Usher’s “U Got It Bad”. Following the performance, Blake commented, “Deion as much as I enjoyed watching your performance, I heard pitch things that I didn’t hear with Victor. I think if you could take a note, Victor from Deion’s book though is that he does have a lot of personalities when he performs. From what I heard vocally, I would be going with Victor.” John apparently agreed with Blake as he announced Victor as the winner of the battle.

Next up were Ainee and Anna Grace from Team Kelly. For the night, they opted to sing “You Know I’m No Good” by Amy Winehouse. Blake noted that Ainee seemed to be “restricting” herself for a little bit when she was singing and that made him pick Anna. John, however, chose Ainee because she’s “more my style with your flow.” Eventually, Kelsea, on behalf of Kelly, announced Anna as the winner of the battle.

Team Nick’s Raine Stern and Andrew Marshall then took the stage to sing “Adore You” by Harry Styles. “I love this song and Andrew this song is better suited to you. Vocally I was more drawn to Andrew, performance-wise I was more drawn to Raine, you are so fun to watch and you can see that you love it which is truly an artist,” Kelsea commented. Nick named Raine as the winner of the battle. However, it wasn’t the end for Andrew because Blake used his one and only steal to get Andrew on his team.

Savanna Chesnut and Pete Mroz from Team Blake then went against each other while singing “Have a Little Faith in Me” by John Hiatt. Nick loved both as he said that Savanna executed each note very well while praising Pete for his “soothing” voice that reminded him of Steven Chapman. John, on the other hand, thought that Savanna was a “wonderful singer,” but she was missing “a sense of urgency.” Pete was picked as the winner of the battle.

Following it up were JD Casper and Kenzie Wheeler from Team Kelly. Singing “Fishing in the Dark” by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, they hoped to impress the coaches and be sent to the Knockout Rounds. “I think both of them were really well-executed performances, you both know who you are as vocalists,” John noted. Kenzie won over JD in the battle.

Another Team Nick pair took the stage. This time, it was Rachel Mac and Bradley Sinclair who performed “Your Song” by Elton John. “You both just gave the best performance that we have had in the battle rounds,” Nick said after the performance. After a long deliberation, he picked Rachel as the winner of the battle.

Concluding the night were Rio Doyle and Carolina Rial from Team John as they belted out “Somebody I Used to Know” by Gotye featuring Kimbra. “Wow, I loved that so much. You guys are both incredible, your stage presence and you both didn’t lose your breath. I feel like there is more experience with Carolina, but you are both magnificent, and congratulations on making it this far,” raved Kelsea. John announced Rio as the winner. However, he wasn’t ready to let Carolina go so he decided to save her.

    NBC

In the new episode of the long-running NBC singing competition show, the contestants take the stage to face each other in hopes of advancing to the knockouts.

    Apr 6, 2021

    AceShowbiz –
“The Voice” returned with a new episode on Tuesday, April 5. In the new episode, viewers were offered with the second night of Battle Rounds. It featured the contestants taking the stage to face each other in hopes of advancing to the knockouts.

Kicking off the night was a battle from Team Blake Shelton’s Emma Caroline and Cam Anthony. The pair hit the stage to sing “10,000 Hours” by Dan + Shay and Justin Bieber. “Emma, your tone is really lovely, that clarity, that grace, and power, it is really enjoyable to listen to your voice. Cam, Nick blocked me when I wanted you on my team. You sing with fire and conviction, that conviction pushed me over the edge with you,” coach John Legend commented. Eventually, Blake announced Cam as the winner of the battle and he saved Emma.

Following it up were Halley Greg and Gihanna Zoe from Team Kelly Clarkson. The pair sang “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran. Coach Kelly wasn’t there that night as Kelsea Ballerini temporarily took over her place. Noting that Kelly told her that both singers are “incredibly talented,” Kelsea announced that the winner of the battle was Gihanna.

Later, Zania Alake and Durell Anthony from Team John performed. Singing Destiny’s Child’s “Emotion”, the two showed off their best in front of the coaches. Nick Jonas loved the song choice and personally thought Durrell outdid Zania in the battle. “Durrell, my favorite part of your voice is your falsetto, you were in a place where you could shine. Zania you have poise and grace, and you were wonderful, you delivered,” John added. He named Zania as the winner of the battle.

Jordan Matthew Young and Keegan Ferrell from Team Blake battled it out by singing “Calling All Angels” by Train. “Keegan from the blinds to this battle, you have grown very quick. That top register was coming out in a great way, despite the coaching. I want to see you enjoy this more. Jordan you are just cool man, you have an outfit that I could never pull it off. I think Jordan has a shot to win this whole thing,” Nick commented. Kelsea, meanwhile, noted that Jordan looked “comfortable” and praised Keegan for “that high note.” Blake chose Jordan as the winner while Nick successfully stole Keegan for his own team.

Singing “Rewrite the Stars” by Zac Efron and Zendaya Coleman were Zae Romeo and Lindsay Joan from Team Nick. John raved about their “expansive ranges,” while Blake said that he liked Zae’s tone though he personally thought Lindsay was better. However, Nick announced Zae as the winner of the battle. In a quick recap, Team John’s Ciana Pelekai and Denisha Dalton sang “You Broke Me First” by Tate McRae with Ciana winning the battle.

Concluding the night was Team Kelly’s Corey Ward and Savanna Woods. The pair belted out “Dreams” by Fleetwood Mac, earning praises from the coaches. “This is my favorite song, it is hard to make your own and you did, especially Savannah. Corey, when I watched your blinds I couldn’t figure if you were county or singer/songwriter, and I love that. I have spoken to Kelly in-depth regarding you both,” Kelsea commented. She later named Corey as the winer and saved Savannah.

'The Voice' Recap: One Coach Uses His Save Right Away as the Battle Rounds Begin

    NBC

A new episode of the long-running singing competition show marks the premiere of Battle Rounds in season 20, featuring singers going head-to-head before some of them advance to the Knockout Rounds.

    Mar 30, 2021

    AceShowbiz –
“The Voice” returned with a new episode on Tuesday, March 29. The episode marks the premiere of Battle Rounds in season 20, featuring singers going head-to-head before some of them advanced to the Knockout Rounds. During this round, each coach was given one steal and one save.

The first battle was between Team Kelly Clarkson’s Ryleigh Modig and Gean Garcia. The pair took the stage to sing “POV” by Ariana Grande. Coach Blake Shelton commented, “If Kelly was here I would tell her, why did you pair these two together, it’s awful, what is she doing.” Kelsea Ballerini, who stepped in for Kelly as she was sick, was having a hard time to choose one between the amazing singers. Eventually, Riley won with John Legend and Nick Jonas hitting their buttons to steal Gene. Gene chose John.

The next singers to go head-to-head were Connor Christian and Aaron Konzelman from Team Blake. The two sang Waylon Jennings’ “Ain’t Living Long Like This”. Nick gushed over Connor’s “rasp” while he loved Aaron’s “professional qualities.” As for John, he said, “I really had a fun time listening to the whole thing.” Coach Blake commented, “Aaron, I don’t know how you manage to do anything else when you are so good at this. Connor, once you are in the zone, nobody can get you out of there.” Blake eventually announced Connor as the winner and no one unfortunately stole Aaron.

Dana Monique and Devan Blake Jones from Team Nick then hit the stage to belt out “Stuck on U” by Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber. Blake mentioned about Dana’s “powerful” vocal. John added, “Devan, I really think you are a great vocalist, you have so much fire, my only concern is that there were a few accuracy issues when it came to the pitch. Dana, you looked natural up there, when it came to execution you were on point the whole time.” Dana won the battle. However, Devan stayed on the competition as Nick decided to save him.

Battling next were Team John’s Christine Cain and Pia Renee who sang Brandy’s song “Baby”. “I feel like I just watched a sass off. Both of you look amazing, you look like I have it together, I am ready to go, and I think as a woman in music it is important to know yourself like that and I see that in both of you as well and that is really amazing,” Kelsea gushed. Meanwhile, Blake said, “Christine, you are such a good singer but at times I felt like you were so laid back and it goes to Pia and she explodes with these vocal moments that really hit the mark. For that reason, I think I would go with Pia.” The winner of the battle was Pia and no one stole Christine.

Team Nick’s Jose Figueroa Jr. and Awari were then up next, singing “You Say” by Lauren Daigle. “This is genuinely a tough decision Nick Jonas. I feel like your voice Jose was a little more fluid and a little more effortless. Awari I love how strong and solid your voice is. Nick, I might very slightly edge towards Awari and I’m not even sure about that, it’s very close,” John commented. Nick also called the duet “phenomenal.” Eventually, Nick picked Jose as the winner of the battle. Awari was sent home as nobody hit their buttons.

The final battle that night was between Ethan Lively and Avery Robinson as they sang “Just Got Started Lovin’ You” by James Otto. “I felt like it was inviting, the performance. This song did have that low note and I felt like Ethan has that robust low tone. It is amazing to me that Ethan is only seventeen. I think at this moment, Ethan did a little bit better, but this song played to his strengths,” John raved. “Ethan, you made Nick half the man, you made him jealous. Avery, you came in high demand, you had all four coaches want you. I say you come alive up there,” Blake added. After a tough decision, Ethan was named as the winner. As Avery was available to steal, Kelsea stole Avery on behalf of Kelly.

'The Voice': The Judges Complete Their Teams in Final Night of Blind Auditions

    NBC

Denesha Dalton from Warwick, New York kicks off the night as she takes the stage to sing ‘Pillow Talk’ by Zayn Malik in front of the judges, Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton, Nick Jonas and John Legend.

    Mar 23, 2021

    AceShowbiz –
“The Voice” returned with the last episode of Blind Auditions on Monday, March 22. Denesha Dalton from Warwick, New York kicked off the night as she took the stage to sing “Pillow Talk” by Zayn Malik. The judges loved her performance as Blake Shelton turned his chair for Denesha with John Legend and Kelly Clarkson following his suit.

“I felt, before I even turned around, that you were so fearless. It was so authentically you. Your smile is infectious and your style as well. I would love for you to be the last person on my team,” John told Denesha. “I have one spot left on my team, whatever that little break thing is that you invented is priceless,” Blake added. Denesha eventually chose to be on Team Legend.

Next up was Awari from Virginia Beach. Singing “Weak” by AJR, the 35-year-old singer made Kelly and Nick Jonas hit their button for him. “I hit my button first, I love the song collection. I loved your runs, you weren’t trying too hard, it was emotional,” Kelly said. John, meanwhile, called the performance “phenomenal,” adding, “I am just thinking all the fun we could have dipping into the classic R&B stuff, and that so happens to be one of my wife’s favorite songs. You would make me very happy if you pick me.” Awari picked Nick to be his coach.

The next singer was Charlotte Boyer, who opted to sing Amy Winehouse’s “Love Is a Losing Game”. Unfortunately, no one turned for her. Keegan Ferrell hoped to go to the next round by singing Maroon 5’s “She Will Be Loved” that succeeded to make Kelly and Blake turn their chair.

“I happen to be friends with the guy who wrote and sang that song,” Blake told Keegan, referring to his fake enemy and former judge Adam Levine. “I want you to look at this coaching panel. Who is missing and who is in this chair. I don’t want to say that Kelly got Adam fired, but he is gone and she is there. If Maroon 5 inspires you, I don’t know if I would choose a coach that is their arch-nemesis. Your voice is so smooth and I don’t have anyone like you on my team, I don’t want to overstep my bounds but there is someone like you on Kelly’s team. There is only one place left on Team Blake.” Keegan did go to Team Blake.

Conner Snow followed it up with a performance of “The Sea” by Sam Fisher but no one turned for him. Later, Ainae took the stage to sing “Best Part” by Daniel Caesar. “It takes so much air to do what you did and that means that you are a competitor and ready to go. You are super special and the final person on this show,” Kelly commented. With that, the judges have completed their respective team.
