Megan Thee Stallion Fires Back at Tory Lanez in New Diss Track 'Shots Fired'

    Instagram

The ‘Savage’ hitmaker slams the Canadian star while taking a dig at his height and responding to the critics who called her a snitch following the shooting drama.

    Nov 21, 2020
AceShowbiz – Megan Thee Stallion has taken aim at her alleged shooter Tory Lanez in a new diss track titled “Shots Fired”.
The “WAP” star accused Lanez of shooting her following a dispute as they left a party in the Hollywood Hills over the summer (20), following which a restraining order was filed to prevent Lanez from going near Megan.
Now, just days after claiming Lanez had tried to buy her silence following the shooting, Megan has once again slammed the rapper in a brand new track from her debut album.
While she doesn’t refer to Lanez by name in the song, Megan does make several references to his 5’3″ height, and also takes on his defence that he couldn’t have shot the “Hot Girl Summer” star without damaging any of her bones or tendons.
“You shot a 5’10” b**ch with a .22,” she raps. “Talkin’ ’bout bones and tendons like them bullets weren’t pellets.”

Later, she continues, “Who a snitch? I ain’t never went to the police with no names.”

Megan told GQ Magazine that she was so scared following the shooting, which occurred at the height of the controversy surrounding police brutality towards people of colour, that she said she had cut her foot rather than revealing that Lanez was carrying a weapon.
She had to undergo surgery on her feet after the shooting while Lanez has pleaded not guilty to one count of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, and one count of carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle.
Lanez’s next court hearing is set to take place on 20 January.

An investigation into the incident, which Megan publicly blamed Lanez for in an Instagram Live session, is ongoing, but the rapper hadn’t spoken publicly about the shooting until he tweeted on Thursday (24Sep20), writing, “To my fans … I’m sorry for my silence …. but respectfully .. I got time today …… 9 PM PST.”

And a time to speak ….. I said all I could say on this … ALL PLATFORMS … in 5 MINUTES …..”
Despite suggesting he’d address the situation through his music, the lack of a public apology to Megan didn’t go down too well with social media users, with one writing on Instagram, “He capitalising on the situation by releasing a song … makes me sick.”
“You’re finished bro. Capitalising for streams you gotta be apologetic this ain’t it,” another commented, while a third wrote, “I didnt set my alarm clock to listen to no song tory.”

    Sep 26, 2020
AceShowbiz – Tory Lanez has released a new album “DAYSTAR” in which he addressed controversies surrounding him after he was accused of shooting Megan Thee Stallion. Additionally, the Canadian rapper uses one of his songs off the album to throw a shade at his fellow musicians who dropped him off their projects amid the scandal.
Slamming Kehlani and JoJo on “Bittersweet”, Tory raps, “And these R&B singer women you called, all your friends choose/ Kehlani hops on the news like it was somethin’ to prove/ Like me and her wasn’t cool when I been friends with you for six years.” He continues, “Plus, plus the crew and we can Google picture proof/ Got my phone number too, you coulda called me/ But you movin’ like we ain’t even crew, and you’d not rather hear my views?”
Tory also mentions that he held her newborn in his arms, before spitting bars, “But KK, back to you, let me tell you who’s/ How to move, this is what you do/ If you wanna take that stance, then that’s cool/ But we gon’ do this with some rules.”
Later on the song, he raps, “Ayy, JoJo, I need you to take notes too/ Don’t take me off the deluxe album that no one gives a f**k about/ Take me off the original too.” Flexing, he adds, ” ‘Cause when I’m scrollin’ through this Spotify playlist/See me my name both in y’all top five pages/ It just feels a little unsincere, hmm?/ Or maybe I refuse, am I trippin’ and confused?/ Y’all could have took me off the album but have still have yet to do?”

Kehlani previously announced that she decided to leave Tory’s verse out from her song “Can I” in her upcoming deluxe version of “It Was Good Until It Wasn’t” amid chatters about him assaulting Megan. “As someone with a large platform, as someone that people look up to, as a woman that makes other women feel safe and empowered, people were asking me, ‘Are you gonna keep somebody on it who doesn’t necessarily make us feel safe or empowered as a woman?’ ” she explained.
“And not only that but, you know, this situation was involving someone that I [am] extremely close to, so I just felt like on some loyal s**t, and on some do the right thing, you have to be responsible. Absolutely I’m changing up the record,” she added. Kehlani continued, “It was business and it was also loyalty to a situation. This is not an industry friendship. That’s really my friend and someone I say I love you to.”
JoJo followed the suit as she revealed in August that she would remove Tory from her song “Comeback” off her album “Good to Know” which was released on August 28. It has 16 tracks including collaborations with Demi Lovato and Tinashe.

Meanwhile, on Monday, July 27, Megan got emotional on Instagram Live as she revealed that she got shot in both feet in the July 12, shooting incident. “I had to get surgery. It was super scary. It was just the worst experience of my life and it’s not funny,” she admitted, slamming people who made a joke about her shooting.
