I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! has been cancelled once again tonight (Monday, November 29).
The ITV show was cancelled this weekend as the storm raged on, with the celebrities removed from the castle for safety.
They returned to quarantine conditions to keep their Covid-19 bubble in effect.
And now former contestant Matthew Wright has confirmed that there will be no show tonight either, revealing on This Morning that the crew are unable to work in the tents surrounding the castle.
He described the area as looking like Glastonbury.
ITV released a statement ahead of the weekend’s episode slots, which read: “Whilst we get the production base back up and running after suffering technical issues due to the storm, we have removed the celebrities from the castle.”
Instead, the show was replaced by a series of compilation episodes showing some of the series highlights from over the years.
The network initially confirmed: “Owing to technical difficulties caused by extreme weather conditions in the area, there will be no new episodes of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! this weekend (Saturday and Sunday).
“I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! will be replaced tonight and tomorrow night in the ITV schedules by compilation shows (voiced by Ant & Dec) featuring best moments from previous series.”
A source told MailOnline of the set damage: “It was terrifying. Down at the front of the castle people were running everywhere to try and secure property and the fencing.
“People were blown off their feet. Thankfully nobody was seriously injured.”
They added: “It looks like a bomb has hit the site today. The roofs of the marquees have been ripped or torn off and equipment is lying on on its side along with the fencing.”
It comes after GMB presenter Richard Madeley was forced to quit the show altogether after being rushed to hospital when he fell ill in camp.
Though he is now “absolutely fine” and “livid” that he can’t return, Richard could not risk re-entering camp as he had broken the social bubble in place as a Covid-19 precaution.
Latecomers Simon Gregson and Adam Woodyatt were introduced to the cast on Thursday, and only had a few days in camp before the set was forced to suspend production.
And, as though it wasn’t enough of a harbinger of doom, other celebs have been thinking of quitting the show.
Naughty Boy has threatened to walk several times after feeling it’s “the right time” – but was talked out of it each time by his fellow campmates – and, notably, a robin he’s nicknamed Sunny.
Strictly Come Dancing star Arlene Phillips was also on the verge of leaving along with the DJ, but changed her mind after sleeping on the decision.
