Kym Marsh has been in the public eye for decades, with a number of high-profile romances.
Marsh, 48, first shot to fame when she was a band member of the band Hear’Say, which dominated musical charts back in the 1990s. She would later go on to star in ITV juggernaut Coronation Street as the feisty Michelle Connor.
However, away from the screen, Kym’s own love life could be said to mirror a soap plot, as she has had a number of failed relationships and marriages. However, with some stability on the way as she settles into her new love, Kym is determined to make sure this lasts long term, compared to her other relationships.

So, as Kym falls in love once again, Daily Star looks at the Corrie star’s tumultuous love life…
Soapstar cheat
Kym’s first marriage came in 2002 when she tied the knot with EastEnders star Jack Ryder at a lavish ceremony in St Albans. The couple had been dating for some time, but following their marriage, the couple ran into a rocky patch early on and split for some time before rekindling their relationship.
This on-off relationship would become a theme for Kym and Jack, who eventually moved to Manchester at Marsh’s request, two years after getting hitched. But as time went on, Jack and Kym admitted that things were not getting better and the couple filed for divorce, which was finalised in 2009.
In the documents for the court proceedings that finalised the split, it was revealed that Kym had in fact cheated on Jack. However, Kym was keen to stress this took place during the separation, which took place one year prior to the divorce going through.
‘Soulmate’ talk
In 2021, following two failed marriages, Kym tied the knot for a third time – this time to Army Major Scott Ratcliffe. Being 12 years her junior, their relationship raised eyebrows – but Kym was having none of it, saying that her new husband was “her everything, her rock, her soulmate”.
This, however, would end up proving to be false, as two years later, the pair announced they would be separating. There had been doubts over the “stressful” marriage due to their conflicting work schedules, but the pair had managed to make it work, before eventually calling time later in 2023.
Since then, Kym has been dating co-star and toyboy Samuel Thomas, 29. On Sunday (July 7), Marsh shared an intimate moment with her fans, saying that she has now fallen in love with her new partner, branding him her new “soulmate”.
Sharing a snap of the pair locking lips in a photobooth, Kym wrote on Instagram: “Met the most amazing man ever! Sometimes the most unexpected things happen at the most unexpected times. Samuel, I love you #beautiful #soulmate #loveyou.”
