YouTube star Corey La Barrie’s death has been upped to murder, after he was killed in a car crash on Sunday, which was also his 25th birthday.
It is now reported that the Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Division has arrested Ink Masters star Daniel Silva for Corey’s murder.
The LAPD said in a statement to PEOPLE: “The Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Division announce the arrest of Daniel Joseph Silva, a 27-year-old driver and resident of Los Angeles for murder.”
It continued: “A 2020 McLaren 600LT was travelling eastbound on Huston Street at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control.

“Driver then ran off the road and collided with a stop sign and a tree on the northeast corner of Huston Street and Carpenter Avenue.”
The incident reportedly occurred just after 9.30am on Sunday in the Valley Village area of Los Angeles.
The police statement went on: “The driver of the McLaren exited the vehicle and attempted to leave the scene but was stopped by citizens who came to render aid.
“No other vehicles were involved in the collision.”
Daniel Silva was reportedly photographed by Los Angeles Daily News being put in to an ambulance at the scene, though it is not yet clear what injuries he sustained.
According to the police, Corey, who had racked up more than 345,000 subscribers on YouTube, was taken to hospital but announced dead on arrival.
Corey’s brother paid tribute, saying: “Thank you for always being the best big brother I could ask for, I love you so f***ing much.
“Life’s never gonna be the same without you, RIP. PS say hi to grandad and grandma for me, I love you.”
Corey’s YouTube channel, started in 2014, has more than 44million views.
As well as a solo channel, he collaborated with pal Crawford Collins on another, which has more than 106,000 subscribers.
