Katie Price in 'danger of going to prison' if found guilty as she denies breaching order

Katie Price has been told she is “in very grave danger of going to prison” if found guilty during at her upcoming trial.

She appeared in court today (April 27) to face a charge of breaching a restraining order against her ex’s fiancé Kieran Hayler by describing her as a “gutter s**g” in a text to him, which she denies.

But upon Katie’s request, the case will now be heard in a trial at Lewes Crown Court on May 25.

Before the proceedings at Crawley Magistrates’ Court ended, the judge gave Katie a warning which spoke of her children.

District Judge Amanda Kelly said the offence carries a maximum of up to five years in prison if found guilty, and warned Katie: “You are in very grave danger of going to prison,” continuing: “I really hope I don’t see you here again.”

Katie, 43, shares two children with ex Kieran, and the judge said they were having to witness “very public squabbles” due to the ongoing issues.

It will be a condition of Katie’s bail that she continues to have no contact with Kieran’s fiancé Michelle Penticost, other than for the purpose of handing her children to Kieran.

There must be “no discussion or talking”.

The court heard today how Katie allegedly sent a text which branded Michelle Penticost a “c***ing w***e piece of s***” and a “gutter s**g.”

The text, allegedly sent by Katie to Kieran, read: “Tell your c***ing wh**e, piece of s*** girlfriend not to start on me.”

The court also heard the message was in response to an Instagram post by Michelle, related to her being “treated badly”, however Michelle claims it was not about Katie.

Joe Harrington, defending, said he would be using Katie’s mental health as a defence, and the “triggers related to her sending that message”.

Katie was given a five-year order in 2019 after she called Michelle a “f***ing c***” during a tirade outside a school.

Under the terms of the order, she was forbidden from contacting Michelle “directly or indirectly”.

Katie and Kieran wed in January 2013 and split in early 2018.
