Some people get famous for their acting or musical talents – others for their brutal and deadly crimes.
Gemma Collins says she could be related to serial killer Jack The Ripper – as the TOWIE star found links to the still unnamed monster filming for the BBC. In an upcoming episode of Who Do You Think You Are?, the GC becomes convinced.
She says: “No-one knows who the ripper was, but we lived next door to where a lot of his victims were being killed. You just don’t know.

“I think I was related to him… It’s just bizarre, isn’t it? Could it be my family? Could he be alluded to be my family?”
But it’s not just Gem, as other celebrities have also had OMG connections to multiple killers.
Date with death
Shortly before she was stabbed 47 times by her neighbour and serial killer Michael Gargiulo, 22-year-old student Ashley Ellerin had spoken with movie star Ashton Kutcher on the phone.
Ashley and Ashton were meant to go on a date together in Los Angeles, on that fateful night in 2001.
Ex-bouncer Gargiulo – dubbed the Hollywood Ripper – was later convicted of Ellerin’s murder and killing another woman, while being a suspect in more homicides.
Fearsome father
The dad of Woody Harrelson, the star of TV’s Cheers and movies like Zombieland, was a hitman for organised crime and involved in a string of murders, including the shooting of a US judge.
Charles Harrelson even claimed to have been the real assassin of US President John F Kennedy in 1963.
Woody, who visited him in jail, once said: “I look at him as someone who could be a friend more than someone who was a father.”
Sister slain
In 1975, Frasier star Kelsey Grammer’s younger sister Karen was kidnapped, raped and murdered by American spree killer Freddie Glenn.
The 18-year-old was stabbed and left for dead in Colorado Springs.
Glenn, who is reckoned to have killed five people in total, has been described as a “monster” by Kelsey and is still behind bars.
Motor mystery
Blondie singer Debbie Harry believes she narrowly escaped murder by Ted Bundy, notorious for killing 30 women across America.
The star says that in the early 70s she took a lift in New York from a man driving a Volkswagen Beetle, like Bundy’s, who tried to abduct her.
She ended up jumping out of the vehicle.
Some claim Bundy wasn’t in the city at the time. But Debbie is convinced of her close shave.
Creepy note
Jailed in Los Angeles for reckless driving and assault in 1987, 21 Grams star Sean Penn became a fellow inmate with serial killer Richard Ramirez, known as The Night Stalker.
Evil Ramirez, who’d murdered 14 people, sent Penn a friendly letter with a creepy 666 and pentagram on it, but the actor sent one back saying he hoped the killer was executed.
Ramirez died naturally in prison in 2013.
Bar brush
Brit movie icon Rupert Everett says he could have fallen victim to serial killer Dennis Nilsen, who killed at least 12 young men and boys from 1978 to 1983.
They went to the same London pub where Nilsen picked up several victims.
Everett said: “I could be dead.”
Hotel horror
The publicity-shy Meghan Markle is reportedly a distant relative of US serial killer HH Holmes.
He killed 27 people in Chicago in the 1890s in a hotel dubbed Murder Castle, according to his great-great grandson who also claims to be the shy woman’s eighth cousin.
