Phillip Schofield forced to apologise as Martin Lewis swears on This Morning

This Morning host Phillip Schofield was forced to apologise on behalf of Martin Lewis today, when he swore live on air.

Martin came on the show to discuss online advertising and the pitfalls of investing in loans while under the influence.

Warning viewers, the money expert said: “Excuse the vernacular.

“There were many people who were p****d at 12 o’clock at night who saw gambling adverts and payday loan adverts and put the two and two together.”

Holly and Phillip looked floored by the swear word, as Martin continued to chat away about financial red flags.

Looking at the camera, Phillip mouthed the word “sorry”, apologising for the rude language on the morning show.

Taking to Twitter, viewers fumed over the X-rated language and pointed out it was too early in the day for swear words.

One said: “Did Martin Lewis just swear?”

A second added: “Did Martin just say p****d?! Ofcom hello!!!”

Martin accidentally let a curse word slip while filming this morning

It wasn’t the first time this morning there has been a curse-word blunder on ITV – Sharon Osbourne slipped up during her Good Morning Britain Oscars appearance.

The Osbourne matriarch was invited to join Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid on the GMB panel at the star-studded bash.

Phillip was forced to apologise on Martin Lewis’ behalf

While the camera went offscreen to show an interview with the director of the Oscar-winning film Parasite, Sharon could be heard dropping the F-bomb.

Piers jumped up with an apology, saying: We just have to make an immediate-early apology for some profanity we heard earlier.

“You’re beyond surprised to hear Sharon Osbourne, 27 minutes into the show and three minutes into Sharon’s appearance.”

Scolding her, Piers remarked: “We’ve got to get through the next two and a half hours of the show!”

Firmly told-off, Sharon replied: “I will apologise, I am so sorry. I didn’t know I was on air.”

This Morning airs on weekdays at 10am on ITV.
