Ted Bundy daughter: Where is serial killer's child Rose now amid Amazon Prime series

This week Ted Bundy is the subject of yet another documentary, but this time we hear the story from women who knew the serial killer.

Bundy is known as one of, if not the, most notorious serial killer in American history.

He killed at least 30 women and children in the 1970s, however figures estimated the number could be much higher.

Bundy didn’t actually confess to the murders until he was on death row, and eventually received the death penalty for his crimes.

In the Amazon Prime docu-series Ted Bundy: Falling For A Killer, we hear from women such as his ex girlfriend Elizabeth Kendall.

But one person we don’t hear from is his daughter, who he became a father to while he was on death row.

Who is Ted Bundy’s daughter?

Ted Bundy’s daughter Rose was born on October 24, 1981, while Bundy was on death row.

That would make her 38 years old,

Her mother was Carole Ann Boone, who was Bundy’s wife, and apparently she got pregnant while visiting Bundy on in prison on death row.

Bundy wasn’t allowed conjugal visits, so there was a lot of speculation about how it was possible.

But Boone told The Deseret News “it’s nobody’s business” how she managed to conceive a child with Bundy.

Where is Rose Bundy now?

The whereabouts of Rose remains a mystery to this day, and stays out of the public eye.

But in 1986 Boone divorced Bundy and left Florida with Rose, according to The Sun.

Some reports claim they both changed their names in order to move on.

Ann Rule, who volunteered with Bundy at a suicide crisis hotline centre, Rose is living away from the spotlight and doing well.

She said: “I have heard that Ted’s daughter is a kind and intelligent young woman, but I have no idea where she and her mother may live. They have gone through enough pain.”

On her website, she wrote: “I have deliberately avoided knowing anything about Ted’s ex-wife and daughter’s whereabouts because they deserve privacy.

“I don’t want to know where they are; I never want to be caught off guard by some reporter’s question about them. All I know that Ted’s daughter has grown up to be a fine young woman.”

Bundy and his wife Carole Ann Boone met when they worked together at the Department of Emergency Services in Olympia, Washington in 1974.

At this time, Bundy was at the height of his murder career.

In The Only Living Witness: The True Story of Serial Sex Killer Ted Bundy, Carole said: “I liked Ted immediately. We hit it off well.

“He struck me as being a rather shy person with a lot more going on under the surface than what was on the surface.

“He certainly was more dignified and restrained than the more certifiable types around the office.”

Throughout Bundy’s trial, Boone was convinced of his innocence, and they got married in aa courtroom in 1980.

Carole visited him regularly in jail, and moved to Florida to be closer to him during his trial in 1979.
