Katie Price forced to 'leave' critically ill Harvey 'alone in intensive care'

Katie Price is said to be devastated after being forced to leave her son Harvey alone in intensive care after he was rushed to hospital at the weekend.

The former glamour model, 42, revealed that her son was rushed to hospital yesterday and he is currently critically ill in hospital.

Her 18-year-old son has reportedly had to stay in ICU alone as Katie was forced to leave him as she can’t stay with him due to coronavirus restrictions.

Doctors are watching Harvey around-the-clock and he will undergo a series of tests.

A representative for Katie Price told MailOnline: “He has had chest pains and a temperature. An extremely high temp. It was 42. You could cook an egg on him. It spiked quickly and he’s had major problems breathing.

“The next 48 hours are critical. Harvey just really needs to do well over the next couple of days. He is having loads of tests today and being watched around-the-clock.”

Harvey has been tested for coronavirus, The Sun reported.

The teen has a rare genetic condition called Prader-Willi syndrome.

He is also partially blind and on the autistic spectrum.

Katie took to her Instagram yesterday to tell her fans that Harvey had been taken to hospital with fears he might suffer organ failure.

She told her 2.2m followers: “I can confirm Harvey is in intensive care and in the best hands.

“I would like to thank the ambulance services and the hospital staff for the quick response and making him stable x.”

A rep at the time revealed: “Harvey has been taken to a local hospital for tests – he wasn’t feeling well yesterday and has today presented symptoms that require urgent medical attention.

“Katie recognised the signs and knew when to call an ambulance. He’s expected to be discharged later today.”

Daily Star Online has contacted Katie Price’s spokeswoman for comment.
