Matt Lucas has shared his views on Boris Johnson ’s Sunday night announcement surrounding the coronavirus lockdown.
The Prime Minister has come under fire from Minister of Scotland Nicola Sturgeon along with the general public for his mixed messages during his “confusing” speech.
The Little Britain star mocked the Prime Minister, impersonating his voice as he delivered a befuddled speech that took aim at the unclear message given by Boris.
During the broadcast, which aired at 7pm on Sunday, the new lockdown rules stated people who can’t work from home can return to work, but should avoid public transport, instead walking or cycling is encouraged.
From Wednesday, UK residents will be allowed unlimited time outside, play sports with fellow household members and drive for country walks.

The 46-year-old took aim at Boris’ mixed message and decided to post an eerily similar announcement, which had no specific outcome.
Posting the video on Twitter, he said: “So, we are saying don’t go to work, go to work.
“Don’t take public transport, go to work.
“Don’t go to work, stay indoors. If you can work from home, go to work, don’t go to work.
“Go outside, don’t go outside and then we will, or won’t, err, something or other.”

Following the clip, many social media users quickly comment underneath the post.
One wrote: “I wish I lived in Scotland. Nicola knows what she is doing. PPE equipment is a national disgrace, no vaccine known to mankind and we can go back to work tomorrow with guidelines to follow. This is utter madness and total disrespect for those residing in the UK.”
“This is a terrifyingly accurate impression, it’s scary,” another put.
While a third chipped in: “This is actually clearer than what Johnson said.”
Aside from the new announcement, Boris also changed the Government’s “stay at home, save lives” slogan to “stay alert,” with many adding the virus “isn’t a person” and something “you can’t see”.
