Former Miss England Danielle Lloyd visited the new Nusr-Et Steakhouse in Knightsbridge, London to see what dishes were on offer and of course, try out the edible gold burger that comes with a hefty £100 price tag.
Danielle, 37, is pregnant and expecting a girl with her husband Michael O’Neill, and went to Nusr- Et for a treat meal which she documented on Instagram.
The video shows viral internet star Nusret Gökçe – better known as Salt Bae – bringing the decadently covered meat to Danielle’s table.
Dressed in a white shirt, black trousers, bow tie and his signature John Lennon style shades, he cut the burger in half and grabbed it with a gloved hand, raising it up to show off the succulent meat inside.
As he squeezed the burger the juices run down and on to the table, a move that confused and disgusted some of Danielle’s viewers.
“Why does he squeeze the burger? Makes me feel sick” said one follower, and another joined in: “Looks gross to be fair…greasy”.
Danielle also shared a close up of the burger, adorned with wooden Salt Bae flags, covered in gold leaf and presented on a wooden board alongside some seasoned french fries.
The burger has caused quite the conflict as one follower compared the price of one burger to their entire weekly food shopping budget.
Food at Salt Bae’s restaurants does not come cheap, with a gold wrapped steak costing an eye-watering £630, a rack of lamb is £200 and a Coke as much as £9.
The popular chain run by the Turkish chef has restaurants in 15 cities including New York, Dubai and Istanbul and is a celebrity favourite.
When questioned about the meal, Danielle responded: “There isn’t a lot on the menu and it is very expensive but lovely restaurant and the food was good” to which one follower cheekily responded: “I’d want better than good for those prices”.
