Danniella Westbrook is fuming that she’s caught coronavirus despite having both of her Covid vaccinations.
The ex-EastEnders star who played the iconic Sam Mitchell in the soap told her fans she feels “so poorly”.
The 47-year-old wrote on Instagram: “I’m fuming and so poorly.”
The “gutted” star posted a video update on her condition from her bed and believes she’s one of the people who has caught Covid-19 after a recent surge of cases.
She said in the update: “Just a quick update to let you know that yes, I’ve got Covid and I’m really, really poorly. I’m gutted, fuming.
“People I know that have had both jabs have got it again so f*** knows if that’s worth it.
“I don’t know why people bother because they’ve gone and got Covid again anyway.
“It seems there’s been a massive wave of Covid outbreak yet again and I’m one of the people that have got it.
“Look after yourselves, look out for each other and stay safe. Take care.”
Last week Danniella showed fans a glam transformation after receiving botox and fillers.
The star said she was “over the moon” with the results and has a huge confidence boost.
The actress shared a snap of her skin ahead of her upcoming facial surgery to rebuild her face after years of drug abuse and botched operations.
The star has had the first of four operations and still has a number to go to reconstruct her face, which saw some of her bones rotting.
Danniella also previously admitted drugs and surgery left her cheekbone “wasting away” and her face “sunken”.
Shortly after her first surgery, a friend close to Danniella told The Sun: “This is an incredibly important process for Danniella. It is more than just an operation.
“It is the start of a major new chapter in her life. She receives a lot of hate on social media and is hoping this operation will correct many of the problems.”
People who receive two jabs from any of the three vaccines used across the UK provide significant protection against the disease, and although there is still a chance patients can catch Covid, it risks the chance of hospitalisation.
The most commonly administered jab for the over-30s is the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine, which is said to be 30% effective against the dominant Delta variant.
PHE also announced this week the AZ jab is 71% effective against hospitalisation just after one dose.
