Dua Lipa 'horrified' by homophobic comments made by DaBaby at music festival

Dua Lipa reveals that she is ‘horrified’ by homophobic comments made by rapper DaBaby at a music festival.

DaBaby, the 29-year-old rapper, had been appearing at the Rolling Loud festival in Miami when he addressed the crowd during his set.

He encouraged them to raise their mobile phones in the air – unless they were HIV-positive or gay men who had had sex with another man in a car park.

Speaking to the crowd, DaBaby then said: “If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases that’ll make you die in two or three weeks, put your cellphone light in the air.”

He continued: “Fellas, if you ain’t suck a n****’s d**k in the parking lot, put your cellphone lights in the air. Keep it f*****g real.’

25-year-old songstress Dua Lipa took to her Instagram story on Tuesday evening, condemning the comments made by DaBaby.

She penned: “I’m surprised and horrified at DaBaby‘s comments. I really don’t recognise this as the person I worked with.

“I know my fans know where my heart lies and that I stand 100% with the LGBTQ community. We need to come together to fight the stigma and ignorance around HIV/AIDS.”

Dua Lipa and DaBaby have worked together in the past for a remix of her song Levitating, for her album Future Nostalgia.

She plans to go on tour with her album Future Nostalgia, which was released on March 27, 2020.

She plans to make an explosive return to the stage in April next year for her highly anticipated tour, where she will likely perform her hit track Levitating.
