I'm A Celeb in chaos as 3 stars risk medical walk-out following Richard Madeley exit

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! is in chaos as three stars may walk out on medical grounds, leaving bosses panicking after Richard Madeley’s dramatic exit.

The 65-year-old TV presenter was rushed to hospital in the early hours of yesterday after falling ill.

Ambulance crews were called for the Good Morning Britain host at 5.23am when he was rushed to hospital for tests.

Richard cannot return to the castle due to breaking the contestant’s Covid bubble.

However, he is not the only celeb that the crew are worried about.

A source told The Sun: “They can’t afford to lose any more big names.”

There are worries from the producers that campmates will follow in Madeley’s footsteps and exit the Gwrych Castle in North Wales.

Dame Arlene Philips, 78, is the oldest campmate and is on daily painkillers. DJ Naughty Boy, 36, has sought counselling over his mum’s health.

Both of the celebs have had private medical treatment away from the main camp.

Explaining Arlene’s struggles the insider said: “Spirits were already at rock bottom at the start of the week with The Clink and Main Camp split.

“But there are growing concerns for Arlene who is really struggling and in chronic pain.

“She is being helped around by the likes of David Ginola and Naughty Boy and is looking really frail. It’s hard enough roughing it in the ruins of an old castle let alone at 78-years-old.”

They also described her as determined, but admitted that the decision may soon be taken out of her hands.

Music producer Naughty Boy has been speaking to a psychologist due to struggling with managing his mum’s dementia diagnosis.

Naughty Boy has also been receiving liquid vitamins to make sure he is fine to continue in the hit ITV show.

The insider described how he was having a tough time.

They said: “He’s been speaking to the show’s psych team, led by Sandra Scott, on a specially set-up iPad to make sure he is staying upbeat.”

They explained that this is the longest period he has spent away from his mum since her diagnosis.

Singer Frankie Bridge, 32, has also been struggling in the first week in the castle, despite being in main camp and not the Clink.

She has been given steroid cream after developing an unexplained rash.

ITV have confirmed that no replacement celebrities will be drafted in.
