Jeremy Clarkson's dream for 'p***-up in a brewery' comes true following beer launch

Jeremy Clarkson has decided his next business move is to sell his own lager after taking on a farming lifestyle and purchasing his own farm in the Cotswold farm.

The 61-year-old’s new alcoholic beverage Hawkstone is produced from the farm featured on his Amazon Prime series, Clarkson’s Farm.

The TV star realised his farm land had a good yield malting barley of unusually high quality which is perfect for brewing.

He was determined to use the slogan, “if you’re an alcoholic, don’t fight it, feed it” to promote his new beer.

However, the interesting slogan was not approved by authorises and he has opted to use “hard to make but easy to drink” instead.

Clarkson told The Sun: “It’s very boring. Basically, all I’m allowed to say is, ‘This is lager’.”

The idea came to the former Top Gear host after a teacher in his school days said he “couldn’t organise a p*** up in a brewery.”

From this statement, Clarkson became determined to prove critics wrong.

“I wanted to have a brewery so I could have a p***-up in it,” he joked.

“Now I can go back to my old careers teacher and say, ‘You see? I told you I could do it!’

“I’m out for world domination [with the beer brand]. Nothing less will do.”

Currently the alcoholic beverage is sold online and in Jeremy’s Diddly Squat Farm Shop but he plans to make it available in supermarkets.

Taking to social media, the celebrity farmer promoted his new brand to his 4.1 million followers.

He said: “Good news.

“I thought you’d only be able to by my lager from my own farm shop but it turns out, you’ll also be able to buy it from Jeff’s website [Amazon].”

He then toasted his fans and took a sip of his lager, adding: “Cheers!”

Clarkson has only been running Diddly Squat Farm for a few years but has owned it since 2008.

The star now lives there with his girlfriend Lisa, 46, and has admitted he’s “the unfittest I’ve ever been.”

He said: “Lisa and I have drank ourselves silly.

“When you’re farming one of the joys is the sun going down and leaning on a fence and looking at your sheep or your crops or watch the changing of the seasons.

“So has it made me fitter? No. And the other thing about farming is how automated it is, you never have to actually walk anywhere, you just drive everywhere it’s fantastic. I’m the unfittest I’ve ever been.”
