Liz Hurley says lockdown ‘restarted’ her as she swears her partying days are over

Superstar Liz Hurley swears her partying days are over, saying the Covid lockdown “restarted” her.

The Gossip Girl star has spent much of her glam jet-set life flitting from one fabulous party to the next, whether in London, Paris or NYC.

And she had a string of high-profile boyfriends to keep her company – actor Hugh Grant, textile heir Arun Nayar, and cricketer Shane Warne, to name but a few.

But now the 56-year-old prefers to have someone else on her arm – lookalike model son Damien, whose dad Steve Bing tragically took his own life during the pandemic.

The super-close mum-and-son duo often shared sweet snaps together during lockdown at Liz’s multi-million-pound Herefordshire pile, where they were holed up with family and friends for months at a time.

And a quick look at her Instagram suggests they loved every minute of it, frolicking in the vast grounds by day and hosting their own exclusive soirees by night.

The Bedazzled actress has revealed Covid restrictions had an intense impact, helping her appreciate a quieter life and move on from those partying days.

Speaking to the Sunday Times, she said: “I came to realise that I’ve been in fight-or-flight mode for 30 years.”

She added: “I’ve found time to remember what my instincts were telling me to do rather than being on a constant treadmill of flying once or twice a week, packing endlessly, juggling jobs, juggling everything, not really having much time to sit down, to ever, I don’t know… just sit down.”

The Hampshire-born beauty did confess she enjoyed her old life, but the pandemic halting it helped her reboot.

Today she’s content being at home indulging in more chilled hobbies, taking pen to paper and secateurs to roses.

Liz may now be happier in muddy wellies than a glossy pair of Louboutins, but she’s ruled out binning her renowned bikinis in the near future.

The age-defying model insists her confidence has only grown with every birthday, and she’ll continue to flaunt that scorching body for the foreseeable future.

The star recently told MailOnline she maintains her flawless figure by closing the door to takeaways and excessive booze and fizzy drinks.

Liz also keeps the pounds off by tending to her garden and walking her pooches, but has a weakness just like everyone else: peanut butter.

“If it’s in the house,” she said, “I’ll stick my finger in the jar every time I walk past it.”
