Strictly Come Dancing star Kai Widdrington made his debut as a professional on the show this season.
Kai, 26, alongside his dance partner and TV Presenter AJ Odudu, have found themselves making it all the way to the semi-final of the show this weekend despite his newcomer status.
The talented dancer hails from Southampton and previously reached the finals of the sixth series of Britain’s Got Talent as well as being a champion Ballroom and Latin dancer and a skilled choreographer.
The star began dancing when he was just 12 years old, opting for a career on the stage instead of walking the path in to professional football in the shadow of his dad.
Kai got a big break when he appeared as a professional on Ireland’s Dancing with the Stars in 2017.
During his stint on the show, he was dating his now ex-girlfriend and Italian dancer Giulia Dotta.
The pair dated for five years before ultimately splitting up just a couple of months ago.
Giulia – an Italian choreographer and Dancing With The Stars Ireland professional – became a professional dancer in 2012.
Her relationship with Kai blossomed when they first met back in 2016 and the pair eventually become romantically involved.
They kept their relationship private at first, but eventually became Instagram official with an army of fans shared between them delighted at the romance.
The couple chose to live together in Ireland’s capital city Dublin, and embarked on several professional jobs together including tours.
While rumours of romance between Kai and AJ were stirring, it seems he has remained single for now and hasn’t found a new love just yet, staying good friends with Giulia.
However, Kai does have a new good-looking Italian in his life – fellow dancer Giovanni Pernice who he has reportedly moved in with in recent weeks.
Strictly Come Dancing continues with the semi-final Saturday December 11 at 7.05pm on BBC One
