EastEnders veteran Charlie Brooks has revealed a new hair-do after quitting the soap as the villainous Janine Butcher after more than two decades.
Charlie, 41, wowed her fans with a shot on Instagram showing the actress in her white wig as she prepares for her role in the National Theatre’s touring production of The Ocean at the End of the Lane.
She will be playing a character called Ursula when the show goes on tour around the country, with Charlie set to appear for 21 weeks from December.

Charlie recently announced her time on the BBC soap was coming to a close as she confirmed plans to leave her role at the end of her current contract.
The 41-year-old, who has played Janine on-and-off since 1999, will film her exit this year, with her final, dramatic scenes expected to be shown over the New Year period.
Speaking to The Sun, Charlie said: “I was only ever due back to EastEnders for a year, but when (executive producer) Chris Clenshaw presented me with his idea for the story, I couldn’t say no to staying a little longer.
“I’ve had an amazing time, as I always do when I go back,” adding: “But as always with Janine, she probably should not outstay her welcome – for everyone’s sake.”

During her time on the show, Janine has seen off a string of men including hubby Barry Evans, played by Shaun Williamson, who she pushed off a cliff.
Charlie previously returned to Albert Square last September and posting to Instagram in October confirmed her first post-show role will be as Ursula in The Ocean at the End of the Lane.
