EastEnders legend Cheryl Fergison, 57, pleads her case to appear on a future I’m A Celebrity series.
The soap star, who played market-stall favourite Heather Trott in the BBC soap, took to her Instagram, where she explained why she’d be a “great contestant.”
Cheryl begged ITV bosses for a possible cameo after revealing that it’s on her bucket list to participate in the programme as she’s a right “screamer”.

In a photo shared to her grid, the actress wrote: “Let’s hope @imacelebrity will take me in next year. I think I would be a great contestant… fears, fun and frog phobia… musical, mischievous, motivational…. singing, snoring, snake charmer… screamer, swearer, shocking surprises… that’s me.”
Cheryl penned in her caption accompanying the message: “All true [laughing face emoji] come on @itv @imacelebrity ‘You know it makes sense …’ 2023 gotta be the year surely? #bucketlist.”
Her fans rallied to show their support, with many commenting on how great a contestant she would be.
“If Cheryl’s not in next year, we riot,” said one fan, while another commented: “You’d be amazing!! We need to start a petition!”
Cheryl played the role of Heather Trott in BBC’s EastEnders from 2007 until 2012 when her character passed away.
Her exit came when she was killed off after being hit with a photo frame by Ben Mitchell, who actor Joshua Pascoe then portrayed.
Since leaving the soap, the mum-of-one keeps fans updated with career announcements on Instagram.
Elsewhere, in the I’m A Celeb jungle, latecomer Matt Hancock has ruffled some feathers with the first batch of contestants.
During Wednesday’s episode, the campmates have laid into newbie Matt, who made his way into the jungle alongside comedian Seann Walsh.
On arrival, Charlene White questioned Matt’s wisdom coming in when the Government has been stable “for five minutes,” and Chris Moyles said he had “taken a few weeks off his job”.
