Ellie Goulding is a happily married woman these days, but the singer has dated some seriously famous stars in the past.
Over the years, the Starry Eyed songstress has been linked to the likes of hunky Hollywood actors, Radio One titans and chart-topping musicians.
She even had a rumoured royal fling with none other than Prince Harry during her days as a player in the glitzy celebrity dating game.

On her 36th birthday today (December 30), Daily Star have dug into Ellie’s A-List dating history.
Greg James

Ellie’s first high-profile relationship was with Radio 1 presenter Greg James, whom she dated between 2010 and 2012 after the release of her debut album Lights.
They dated for about 18 months and were snapped together at star-studded events like the Elle Style Awards in 2011.
They called it quits in 2012 but their split was reportedly “amicable” and due to scheduling conflicts.
A source said at the time: “It was just a real struggle for them to be in the same place at the same time. The split is amicable and they are still friends.”
Skrillex

Ellie went on to have a nine-month relationship with dubstep DJ Skrillex, real name Sonny, after things ended with Greg.
Ellie admitted she “didn’t see it coming at all” but explained she got with the DJ after working with him.
She told NME: “I became very good friends with Sonny when we worked together and after that we realised we wanted to spend a lot of time together.
“Although we are very similar, I didn’t see it coming at all, especially after such a sad time breaking up with Greg.”
It is understood they ended things due to long distance.
Jeremy Irvine

Shortly after Skirllex, Ellie moved on with War Horse actor Jeremy Irvine.
The pair apparently started seeing eachother in November 2012, when they were spotted ice-skating together in London.
Ellie and Jeremy dated for a short time and were photographed at red carpet events together, once caught sharing a passionate smooch at a Brit Awards after party.
But sadly it wasn’t to last as they broke up in August 2013.
Calvin Harris

Skrillex didn’t appear to be the only DJ on Ellie’s wish list as she was also linked to DJ Calvin Harris in 2013.
The pair worked together on her 2013 hit I Need Your Love and caused a stir when they shared a kiss in the music video.
However, she denied they were ever an item and even revealed she was matchmaker between Calvin and Taylor Swift.
Niall Horan

One Direction singer Niall Horan has been open about his crush on Ellie, so it’s no surprise people think they went out in 2013.
Your Song star Ellie was spotted getting cosy with the Irish hunk at V Festival during a Kings of Leon set.
It was reported that they left during the set and snuck into a VIP cocktail area to carry on their evening.
Niall and Ellie are still good friends and the One Direction star has done little to dispel the rumours of their romance.
He picked Ellie Goulding as his dream date in 2016 when Ellen Degeneres asked him to pick out of her, Taylor Swift, Rihanna and Demi Lovato.
Ed Sheeran

Things got interesting in 2013 when Ellie was spotted holding hands with Ed at the VMAs.
But it’s believed there may have been a bit of a fall-out between them and that he wrote his song Don’t about her when things went down the pan.
The song, released in 2014, includes the lyrics: “I never saw him as a threat, ’til you disappeared with him to have sex,’ and: “You were looking for a lover to Burn,” which is a reference to her No1 single.
Ed’s song came about after Ellie and Niall Horan had a fling, and he admitted as much after its release.
He said: “I got over the anger the moment I wrote the song.”
When Ellie released her song On My Mind, fans believed she dug at Ed with the lyrics: “Next thing that I know, I’m in a hotel with you/ You were talking deep like it was mad love to you/ You wanted my heart, but I just liked your tattoos.”
She denied it, describing it as a “myth”, but did say: “People can read into it however they want. It’s fun to do that, I would do that too.”
Prince Harry

As if dating pop stars and movie hunks wasn’t impressive enough, Ellie had a rumoured romance with Prince Harry.
They were repotedly seen getting close at the Audi Polo Challenge in 2014, but nothing was ever confirmed.
But it wasn’t her only link to royalty as she was famously invited to perform at Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding reception in 2011.
Ellie told the News of the World: “It was an amazing honour to be asked by Kate and William to perform at their party. The atmosphere was incredible and it is a night I will never forget.”
Dougie Poynter

Her most-remembered relationship was with McFly star Dougie, but it ended in upset.
The couple were on-and-off between 2014 and 2016 before they eventually ended things.
She described the split as “hard” when she opened up about Dougie in an interview at the time.
“I’m not in a relationship any more and that’s been hard,” she said. “Having a break will be a good thing for me and my head.”
But it’s clear they ended on good terms as Ellie added: “Dougie is one of the most special people in the world and I’m so happy for him. He’s doing well in LA and he’s still one of my best friends. I know he feels the same.”
Caspar Jopling

Ellie is all settled with her art dealer husband Caspar Jopling after they were introduced by a mutual friend in 2016, reportedly Princess Eugenie.
Ellie admitted they “didn’t fancy each other at all” but were sat next to each other at dinner, but something must have gone right as months later they went Instagram official.
Caspar did a degree in Art History at Harvard, and went on to study for an MBA at Oxford University.
They spent a lot of time living apart due to work as Ellie was in London while Caspar was studying in Oxford.

Ellie and Caspar then welcomed their first child together on April 29, 2021 and shared his name as Arthur Ever Winter Jopling.
They tied the knot at York Minster on August 31, 2019 in front of a crowd of loving fans, as well as their own families, loved ones and friends.
Among them were a number of famous faces, who watched Ellie walk down the aisle, including Katy Perry and Orlanda Bloom.
