Ferne McCann's ITV show 'paused' as voice note branding acid victim 'ugly c***' leaks

Ferne McCann’s ITVBe show First Time Mum has reportedly been plunged into crisis after she was accused of branding acid attack victim Sophie Hall an “ugly f***ing c***” in a leaked voice note.

ITV have reportedly placed a pause on planned filming dates for the reality show while they hold talks with Ferne over the leaked WhatsApp messages.

Sophie – who hails from Dorset – was left scarred for life when Ferne’s boyfriend at the time Arthur Collins threw acid into the crowd of a busy nightclub in April 2017.

Two people were blinded and 18 injured in the vicious attack which saw Collins jailed for 20 years, with an additional five years on licence after being convicted for five counts of grievous bodily harm with intent and nine counts of actual bodily harm for the incident at Mangle E8 in Dalston, London.

A voice note posted to Instagram on Wednesday (November 9) night, allegedly recorded one year after the attack, appears to show a Ferne belittling Sophie as she brands her an “ugly f***ing c***”.

The audio depicts a woman who sounds like Fearne mocking Sophie’s decision to wear a dress created from newspaper cutouts of headlines about the nightclub attack for a June 2018 beauty pageant.

The woman on the sound recording says: “I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. The silly bitch has made a dress, a papier-mâché dress out of the newspaper cuttings from the event.

“She will probably win it. I am not going to lie. Only because the event and the awards she entered, or beauty competition, whatever it is, are probably loving all this free press for their event

“So they will probably fix it, she will win it. She is one ugly f***ing c***.”

A source confirmed that filming is not currently taking place for First Time Mum but that Ferne is in contact with show bosses are in touch with her.

They told Daily Star: “ITV are not currently filming Ferne’s series but are in contact with her and continue to offer support.”

Further TV insiders have now claimed that ITV have called talks with Ferne to make a decision on what happens next for her show.

A source told The Sun: “Ferne’s reputation is in tatters. ITV were due to start filming the next series of her show First Time Mum in the coming weeks but now it’s all up in the air.

“Conversations are ongoing about when the show may resume filming in light of all that has gone on. ITV have held talks with Ferne about the situation and they will continue to speak with her to see where they go from here.

“They have worked with her for over a decade – from her early day on TOWIE, to I’m A Celebrity, and then First Time Mum – and want to see how this plays out.”

Ferne – who shares daughter Sunday, 5, with Collins – was seen outside the home she shares with fiancé Lorri Haines in Romford, Essex on Thursday (November 10).

Meanwhile, a friend of Ferne has claimed she is “devastated” over the “ongoing hate campaign” that has seen several WhatsApp recordings of hers leak in recent weeks.

The insider also claimed that the messages are fake and have “been spliced together from different WhatsApp recordings”.
