Gogglebox's Georgia Bell star shares pregnancy stress with Channel 4 co-star

Gogglebox regular Georgia Bell gave viewers a glimpse into her birth preparations as she watched television with her best pal Abbie Lynn.

The 21-year-old took her usual position on the sofa and spoke to Abbie about how she is planning on welcoming her first child with partner Josh in July.

She opened up to Abbie and said that the midwife had told her she should prepare a hospital bag full of essentials for her labour.

Georgia admitted she didn’t know “what the hell to put in it” and asked Abbie for some help before she went on to explain that the midwife had suggested that the couple take in snacks.

However, Abbie had other ideas and tried to encourage her to buy food on sight: “You know what, there’s a little cafe in the hospital that you’re going to, they do some alright food in there. My dad once had a cheesy bean jacket potato there, so if Josh gets hungry he can go down to the cafe and get something.”

Georgia then stressed: “What if he misses the birth of his son and he’s sat there eating a jacket potato?”

Abbie, who hadn’t considered the potential fate of the situation, realised her mistake but said it was the “risk he had to take” if he wanted a hot meal at the hospital.

The episode was the last in the series and the next is due to begin filming in September.

However, Abbie and Georgia saw the final show out with a bang as they managed to shock viewers at home with their off-the-cuff remark.

The BBC aired a Top Of The Pops episode from 30 years prior and the two girls in their twenties were stunned to see how times have changed.

The pair watched a clip of Boney M from 1992 and couldn’t believe their eyes as Georgia branded the footage “ancient”.

Abbie remarked: “I think it’s out of the olden days,” before Georgia said she “felt like they should be watching in black and white”.

Fans rushed to defend the show, which ran from 1964 to 2006, and were shocked that the girls thought 1992 was a long time ago.

One asked “God to help her” after she heard the girls call ‘92 “ancient” and said that they must be “seriously ancient” by their judgement.
